The quality is great (a little too much refocusing for me.. why cant it just stay?) but I'm worried the audio recording wont hold up to a metal concert :U
@RonsG25 Hey I am wondering if you ended up buying the sx210 and used it to record at loud concerts. I bought it last year and I am usually in the front row at concerts. I have not been able to get good sound quality out of the camera by being in the front row. I am wondering if anyone is having the same issue...
@didis97 yeah i got the camera & havin the same problem too. I've brought about 10 cameras in 2 years & can't get 1 that the sound is good. Photos & quality of video fantastic but sound is a let down completely. I have had one of my cameras for about 5 or 6 years now & the sound is out of this world brilliant but it's only a 3x optical zoom & picture is bad at times but it is far & away the best camera i have ever had i just wish i could take the speaker out of it & put it into my sx210 lol
@RonsG25 Ditto!! My Canon Powershot 790IS records the sound brilliantly but its also limited with the 3x optical zoom which is why I had "upgraded" to the sx210 (another candidate had been its competitor Panasonic Lumix model, not sure how that one might be on recording audio...). I have given up and will go back to using the 790IS as long as I know I'll be in the front row, and I'll just keep the sx210 to take pictures on vacations/etc.
hey glamberts im making a happybirthday adam video just take 1 pic or if u have a pic find but make sure Happy birthday adam is on it! the deadline for this is januray 25th email me the pics to Jamie4realzzz@yahoo.com follow me on Twitter Jamie4realzzz
you used a canon powershot sx201 is?!?!!? im getting this camera for christmas, so i've been trying to search rapidly to see if this camera does well at concerts for my next Adam one- thanks sooooooooooo much for posting this! you pretty much made my decision ^.^ <3
@Glambertx96 - I was the 10th row for this concert but I think any camera that have a big zoom, manual funtion and HD video recording should do the job. A manual funtion allow you to choose the best settings for the concert. To take the best photos, the most important thing is don't use flash. For this concert, the camera settings I used was ISO 800, exposure time(shutter speed) around 1/20 - 1/50 and apeture around 4 - 6. Good Luck!
