  • Ah. Remember singing that song to my boys when they were babies to lull them to sleep.

  • Very cool!

  • Daisy, daisy give me your answer do.

Im half crazy over my love for you.

It wont be a stylish marraige.

    I cant afford a carraige.

but you'll look sweet, upon a seat

of a bicycle built for two!

    XD

  • Very nice. Played perfectly, actually... You wouldn't happen to be much of a singer, would you? Seems to be a bit tricky to find someone singing this song that isn't from the 60's, or in a large choir. I would love to the song, played like that with some vocals.

  • very nice

  • it evokes beautiful memories of yesteryears. thanks.

  • WOW! I have played a bit of guitar and that is really damn hard, excelently done. Thanks!

  • great man, very good job

  • Just awesome man. Thank you.

  • Great!

  • Beautiful. My 8 year old daughter is named Daisy and we sing this to her.

  • I LOVED this...yes I did. I was doing some genealogy and remembered an uncle who was loving and kind and served all around him...so giving...so generous....he was Nick Amore (Amoresano)....when he was dying, all of the hosptial staff had grown to love him so much from the years he had been in extended care...that they gathered around and sang this song to him as he breathed his last breath. Listening to you just brought tears to my eyes. I loved what you did to improve it. Hugs to YOU!

  • nice

  • your arrangement is very soothing; I can feel my shoulders relax as the song goes on. Very good job friend!

  • Bravo! Excellent!

  • you look like cheech and chong lol

  • How can he look like Cheech and Chong (who look nothing alike) you blithering idiot?

What he looks like, in point of fact, is an English professor at some private liberal arts college.

As to the video; nice picking.

In my mind, this song is inexorably associated with 2001: A Space Odyssey.

  • well, he does look a little like tommy chong.

  • more like eric clapton

  • you'd look sweet

    upon the seat

of a bicycle built for two

  • There you go - Harry Dacre it was - and in 1892. It's just 116 years old! :-) Will

  • i always wondered what kind of martin that is your playing never seen one like that?

  • It's a Martin XC1T limited edition electro-acoustic cutaway model with a Fishman Ellipse mic/piezo sound system. Not hugely expensive - but a great sounding guitar. :-)

  • did you dye your beard? or is your hair in your head dyed? it's just dif. black beard blonde hair...

  • Hah - loved this comment! No Johnny - it's all natural I'm afraid! The hair is grey, by the way - not blonde, and my beard gets a little greyer each year I grow it. The 2008/9 winter beard will be on its way in about 6 weeks time... ;-) Will

  • i always wanted to grow a beard, but in the middle of my rite cheek stays bald, no hair will grow there for some reason, but it must be the camera,or my eyes are bad...they told me i was color blind at work...

  • Hi

I am working on a school project on Tin Pan Alley. Could you tell me more about it more than just "the market-place-oriented publishing companies?"

By the way, are there so cool artist you could introduce me to rather than Charles K. Harris, Charles Ward, Harry Dacre, and Kerry Mills.

Where could you find guitar tab for the song you're playing?

    Thanks a lot

  • Mail me with more detail - you can get my email address from my website - and my website URL is up in the "About this video" column, top right.

  • C'est toi qui a fait les arrangements?

Did u come up with the arrangements?

  • Wow, this is great. Any possibility for a tab?

  • I'll add it to the ever-growing list of requests! Cheers, Will

  • As I was going through the old tunes on youtube to put on a video clip that I have done up as a tribute to the 25th anniversary of his death, I came across your video and thought I would use the piece as a background for the video.. hope you don't mind as it was one of his favorite all time pieces! :)

  • No problems - feel free. :-) Will

  • Thank you so much cuz this is my grandfather's favorite song.. and the clip I'm doing is of a slide show presentation/video clip from back in the 1930s and 40s.... :)

  • Nice :)

  • Nice job. I think I'll try and play this old song. your guitar has a great tone. Is it a Taylor guitar?
