The animation isn't very good.This show was made in 2003 and still shows from the 90's like the Batman Animated Series look much better.

Plus whats up with the colored hair? I have seen bat's up close and they don't have Elvis hair!Also why isn't Shade a whinny, bitchy, asshole like in the books? This Shade has the typical under dog who isn't noticbaly different from anyone else, though people still make fun of him, who finds inner-courage and saves everyone's ass. Errghh!

I really want to read the book partly because I like animals, partly because I am sick of bats getting treated like they're evil and partly because I want to write a story like this. There are loads of books out there about animals, but none of the writers are female. I hope to be the first.
