It is a bit linear and story boud but it is something i enjoyed palying

Even though i did not understand much of the rpg's at that time..(i was 5 yrs old den)

But sometimes i stillPut on my snes on my "HD" Tv And play...specially Harvest moon

That game really grew onto me..

The obvious thing that people with old franchises should do is re-release them... but it seems most of them went out of business... I mean, how hard can it be to not epically fail?

You could check RPG-gamer or gamefaqs for reviews, it is how I usually get a "feel" for stuff... well, before youtube.

I haven't played WildArms and don't like FF 12, I actually find FF12 to be sparse on interaction and restricted but I didn't put up with it for more than a few hours, so, I dunno what to recommend....

Well ff12 does feel to have cut the combat ...

Its like go near the enemy and everything is finished..

I like gothic 3 and Two worlds for the Pc

I am gonna try oblivion

and i m still in search of THE PERFECT RPG...

I think that gaming has really jumped the shark with all this HD nonsence and eveyrthing being CG and 3D.

By Name Rpg..means Role playing game

U play a role of a charecter...which in my point of view should be however we chose the charecter to be... cuz its we who are playing it...

Oh, but, it's sorta a misnomer, now... I find games are so linear and restricted that it's like, worse than the 8-bit days, e.g. the NES Final Fantasies, you chose the class of the characters freely... nowadays, the whole story and cast are preset.
