  • this looks like complete dog shit

  • @ThatBoyBaked I'd like to see you do a better job...

  • awesome!!!!

  • hey i got a question anyway i have the halo.iso file how can i play it with xeon. cuz it doesnt work for me should i do something first.

  • Comment removed

  • @pactudo No, it is not a lie.

  • this game really is like that? so dark?

  • @benjalorc No, the game isn't that dark. See my response to madtown500 in the comments section for a more detailed explanation.

  • this is pretty gay xD

  • @Joel21562 ... and could you do a better job? Nope, didn't think so.

  • how can u get it to be a xbe file because it says load xbe file wats up with dat

  • @kessi931 When you dump all of the disc's contents, there should be a "default.xbe" in the root directory man.

  • @blueshogun96 I tried doing this with the pc version and only found exe. Does this only work with the xbox version?

  • @shotsniper009 Dude, this is an Xbox emulator, not a PC emulator. If you have the PC version (that works), just install it (if you haven't) and play that, lol.

  • @blueshogun96 Ya its just i'm probably going to need the xbox version for what I'm working on. Many thanks

  • why is everything so black?

  • @madtown500 That's because Xeon emulates the deffered render states and deferred texture states incorrectly. The author didn't have the same XDK Halo was built with so he didn't know why. When working on Cxbx, I ran into the exact same problem and it took only a few lines of code to fix. If Xeon was open source, I could fix it myself and the game would look perfect.

  • Last night, I had a dream that I fixed this emulator and everything worked perfectly. When I woke up, I was disappointed. =S

  • well did u download this version?

  • @TheDryBrowser I downloaded the emulator, yes. It can still be found on emulator-zone(.)com since _SF_'s website died. Or is this what you were asking?

  • @MRgold895 im totally with u on that coop mode hack

  • lol useless,i mean just play halo pc!

but its good if u want to play coop

  • lol

  • Have any of you ever learn that halo was made for the pc back in 2003!? It practically runs great on anything that doesn't have a intel graphics card! And it's $20 now.

  • Halo Xbox only runs at 30 fps anyway !

  • @dark1ankh I know this is a bit old, but Halo sucks at any frame rate over 30fps. It was designed to run at that frame rate and looks awful when run higher than that.

  • @blueshogun96 Eh, if you know how to configure it right the PC version of Halo: Combat Evolved beats it out on every level. Enabled Anisotropic Filtering, adding "-use21" to the target line, and forcing the resolution to 1920x1080 on computers/monitors that can handle it make it the greatest Halo: Combat Evolved experience you can have. If you thought just turning up the graphics in game were all there was to increasing the graphical limit to Halo PC, you'll be amazed by the things I said to do.

  • @xXLordSairinXx Thanks for the well informed reply but graphics aren't really the issue for me. I just stated that Halo isn't designed to run over 30fps. I prefer the Xbox version not only because co-op support but because I prefer playing this particular game on an Xbox controller. I'd honestly be very interested in emulating Halo just for the possibility of having native XInput support and other things.

Either way, playing Halo at 1080i is nothing to sneeze at. Would like to try it sometime

  • @blueshogun96 Ah, well, you can get Xbox controllers for the PC if you didn't know. Nothing you can really do about co-op I'm afraid. It matters more to me that PC has online multiplayer (I do know about tunneling programs. I just prefer PC's more)

About playing Halo in 1080i is nothing to sneeze at comment, it actually is with what I described. There are no videos of Halo PC running at full capacity. You really should see it at those levels. With the widescreen fix the game plays better (imo)

  • @xXLordSairinXx Yeah, I understand your point of view though. I tried using my 360 controller on Halo PC (Demo) and couldn't configure it the way I wanted it too. Probably something I did wrong. Never played online much and I usually have more fun playing Co-op then live, but that's just me.

Well, Halo CE alone makes the PC version worth having, so I'll definitely have to try your suggestion sometime. Thanks!

  • @blueshogun96 You're welcome! I also understand your point of view. I get on the Xbox version to play the Campaign/Co-Op Campaign all the time. Feels just as great as it did 10 years ago (:

  • dude how did you do this

i have a legal game and the emulator so please i need help making it work

  • If you only have one computer this would be good for multiplayer. Not the gameplay but the idea.

  • looks like it still needs work, but I would like to play split screen co-op or versus on a laptop. (because they did not include co-op on the pc version..WHY).

  • WHAT THE HELL?! All the lighting has been fucked and it is now snowing in hell if anyone wants to play that crap!

  • @123halofreak This project wasn't intended to replace a real Xbox. Besides, it's old and preliminary, what do you expect?

  • @blueshogun96 Oh... now it makes sence. You're quite correct, now that I think of it. Sorry about the mean comment.

  • @123halofreak No worries, it's fine. I understand that you'd expect a fully developed (or mostly working) Xbox emulator by now. If Xeon was open source, then I could fix all those lighting and texture bugs. I figured out what was going wrong in Halo when I worked on Cxbx. What we need is an LLE Xbox emulator, that would be more effective!

  • @blueshogun96 Totally correct. I so thought that somone would have made a fully working emulator. An LLE emulator would be so much more effective and less bugs would be around.

  • @123halofreak Yeah, then we wouldn't have to worry about the many pitfalls involving HLE. If you haven't heard of it, Xenoborg is an LLE emulator using the same execution method as Xeon and Dxbx (load the .xbe at 0x10000 and execute it there) but using OpenGL instead because that matches the hardware more closely. It's not released yet and may not play commercial games for a while though since the hardware is complex. Hope to see it working soon.

  • @123halofreak yea thats bad lol. mines well by an xbox.

  • Hmm, I want the Halo rom.

If you can put a link thanks, Then I'll sub you

  • @eddboy99 You didn't specify. Either way, I didn't download Halo, I used a hacked DVD firmware to dump my files.

Not to be rude or anything, but I had to put up an annotation at the beginning of this vid because I get a ridiculous number of requests for this ISO! Since I didn't download it, I put it up there. Even if I did download it, since I'm a well known Xbox emu author, it's going to reflect bad on my reputation if I do host a link to it.

  • you could at least make a link for us...

  • @eddboy99 Done.

  • fuck, im tired of this, where the fucking ass can you get that rom(game)?

i have been asking that question for years and you guys never answer, tell me the web page you found that game!

  • @jc0299916 I didn't download it, I bought the game and ripped it using a modified DVD drive.

Why doesn't anyone read the damn annotation at the beginning of the vid?

  • @jc0299916

wow i bet you didnt even spend 20 min on google searching, it isnt that hard to find such things, stop spamming threds trying to get people to teach you how to use the internet

  • @ss10house QFT (Quoted For Truth)!

  • @ss10house i got all day finding out and never found any fucking answer, at least tell me where!

  • @jc0299916 Did you read my annotation at the beginning of this vid?

  • @jc0299916 First link on google....come on, Google ain't rocket science!

  • Just play Halo PC lol

  • @blueshogun96 Better yet, play CoD Black Ops lol

  • @blueshogun96 @xiAcexi an xbox is a pc...no?

  • @alkemist85reconz No, it's not. It's just "PC based", that's all. There's alot of non-standard PC chipsets in it plus the memory map is far different too.

  • @blueshogun96 lol, so it's a computer for gaming?

  • @alkemist85reconz Well, every machine with a CPU can be considered a computer to a certain extent =] The Xbox is just PC based machine with a Dreamcast-like feel to it, lol. But you can call it a PC if you want, we'll know what you're talking about either way xD.

  • @blueshogun96 lol. i dont even know

  • @alkemist85reconz

Video game consoles are types of computers, but the original Xbox is more of a computer than any other console, infact, it is basically a computer.

  • @blueshogun96

    "Better" yet?

    Fail.

  • @Oskarmandude1 comment fail, you fail at using the internet lady.

  • @EmuNext

    No, I don't fail, and I'm a dude.

The PC version is better because it has great mods, online multiplayer and more maps.

  • @Oskarmandude1 This is your opinion, not a fact. I like the console version better because not only can I play co-op, the Xbox1 controller makes it more challenging and I have less x64 related driver issues slowing it down. IMO, a better single player/co-op experience beats multiplayer every time. Besides, XBConnect works just fine for me when I want multiplayer.

  • @blueshogun96

With mods you can play the campaign online via multiplayer, while the AI doesn't sync online, it should on LAN and I think people are working on making the AI sync the same way it does on Anniversary (Halo: Graphics Evolved).

On the PC, you can get 60 FPS, high res textures, high screen resolution, mods (like even higher and more realistic textures, or even new vehicles and weapons) and more maps.

Anyone who thinks the console version is better is a console kiddy.

  • @Oskarmandude1 Once again, you boast your opinions to be facts (in your final statement)....

The game and it's animations were designed to run at 30fps and looks awful at 60. 30fps is also my preferred framerate for many game genres and FPS is one of them (and yes, I know I can lock it at 30 on PC). Playing campaign online and mods is nice and all, but I dislike playing Halo using keyboard and mouse and setting up certain gamepads to function properly was impossible.

  • @blueshogun96

Why did you post that comment 4 times?

Yes, the original animations look slow at 60 FPS, but the Flamethrower and Fuel Rod Gun looks great in 60 FPS. There are mods for animations with 60 FPS, too.

You are one of those console kiddies who hates the keyboard and mouse, LOL

  • @Oskarmandude1 Youtube was bugging out on my end, removed the posts...

"You are one of those console kiddies who hates the keyboard and mouse, LOL" For me, it just depends on the game, not the platform. Example, I'd never play games like HalfLife, Sinistar, or various other RTS on a console because that game was made optimally for PC's keyboard and mouse. Halo (as an FPS) was not. Second, Halo PC runs horribly on x64 for me, I'd still rather use the console version. Btw, I'm older than you, lol

  • do you know where to download it for xeon

  • Hey COOL DID IT TAKE LONG TO DOWNLOAD I WAS TRYING TO FIND A QUICK HALO DOWNLOAD FOR XEON where did you find it for xeon well i did find 1 but i had to download the game in parts so i didn't download it.

  • is this like the latest and greatest emulator for the pc?

  • @F6104906 Xeon hasn't been updated/released in years. Cxbx is the most advanced Xbox emulator to date. It doesn't play alot of games still, but if you're still interested, you can check out my blog @ shogun3d-cxbx.blogspot(.)com for more updates.

  • i want the file the of halo ntsc where do u get it?

  • hmm where do u download it halo i got exon.......... pm me plz

  • Read my annotation. I bought my copy of Halo. Is that what you wanted, or do you need Xeon?

  • LOL! I love how the marine saluted you with his foot.

  • lol, yeah, it's a bug. Probably related to vertex tweening.

  • ...you can't just run the PC version?

  • ... it sounds like you don't understand the true point of emulation. Pity.

  • I see the point of emulation. The Xbox version of Halo was soooooooooo much better than the Windows version.

  • @TheGeek1028 lol moron

  • Aren't you nice.

  • He's right, you are a moron.

  • take cxbx emulator it's the best one

  • And now it's getting better! Google the cxbx dev blog!

  • Does it have the thing to record AVI.

  • No, I had to use fraps for that. It can be added though.

  • can this play multiplayer?

  • Nope, Xeon exits when you try.

  • hmmm, I don't think the Xeon emulator works with Windows Vista. I've tried but couldn't get it to load.

  • Yeah, Xeon is kinda funny sometimes. I had to play with the debugging and logging options until I got it to go in-game. It will run on Vista though. I never bothered to play it on Vista, but I did get it to go in-game once.

  • @Generalkidd If you have Vista why don't you just buy Halo 2, it only costs $20.

  • @CardboardTurtle I already have Halo 2 Vista and have more than half the achievements for that game. But that's not the point. I'm interested in using the emulated version of Halo 1 because I still believe the Xbox versions of Halo are always better than their PC ports. Also, I think it's interesting and fun to try out emulators.

  • @Generalkidd I've clocked both the PC and Xbox version of Combat Evolved and the only thing different is a couple things in the cutscenes.

  • @CardboardTurtle The Xbox version has 2-player splitscreen co-op for the campaign. The Xbox version also has 4-player splitscreen multiplayer. The PC version doesn't have any of that.

  • @Generalkidd Other than the obvious stuff, I mean. And the PC version has Multiplayer, Xbox doesn't.

  • @CardboardTurtle The Xbox version does have multiplayer. You can play with up 16 people if you have 4 xboxes on the same LAN.

  • @blueshogun96 That's system link. (lolololololol)

  • Why not just buy halo 1 and halo 2 for the pc if you really want to play them without buying a xbox

  • That's not the point of this emulator (to replace your Xbox) or any emulator in general. Besides, it would be nice to have Co-op on the PC (or does it have it already?).

  • there is more to this than what meets the eye. If halo can run, then that means other xbox titles can be played as well. Were there is a hope, there is a will.....

  • anyone know if either emulators can run jetset radio future i was deciding either jetgrind or jetset to play

  • chankast dude

  • 0:22

Love the spin kick the marine on the left does. XD

  • Yeah, It's really a bug related to Xeon. The bugs with this game running Halo are hilarious!

  • Maybe so hilarious it deserves a video?

    ;)

  • Lol, yeah. For some reason, the legs position get inverted some times so it's like they are listing their legs behind their backs. Captain Keyes's right hand also does a bunch of funky movements too.

  • it seems there is no such emulator that plays almost all xbox games on pc i searched high n low only seen ps2 etc

  • CXBX works with Halo 2 so I've heard

  • i heard something like that too cxbx can run turok to but both emulators can only run those games sux that the makers quit on these projects by now they would have had a fully running emulator just like the playstationx2 versions -.-

  • I'm still working on Cxbx actually. Check out my video of it running Panzer Dragoon ORTA. Right now, Unreal Championship is starting to look good.

Just remember, emu authors have lives outside of the emulator.

  • Cxbx cannot run Halo 2.

  • where did you get halo ntsc and how did yo make it work?

    someone send a comment

  • You can easily download that from internet. He made it work on PC by using the emulator called Xeon (read the info next time). My question is, why do you want to use an Xbox emulator? Theres only a couple of games fully supported by that. Plus, Halo for PC was released a several years ago. You also can download that from the net

  • Xboxisozone(.)com is a good one if you're still looking.

  • can this play halo 2 online?

  • Nope, read my side notes for this video.

  • is this smooth, ive been let down with the ps2 emulator

  • guys just bye this on pc. Halo is on pc. Its dirt cheap, and you get halo custom edition for free with mods.

  • lulz yeh

  • Emulation... It's not about what games you can play, it's about getting something to work period.

  • All these years being interested in Xbox emulation and I've yet to try Halo on Xeon.

I have a Halo disc but no way to dump it since I gave away my Xbox when I got my 360. Damn, well I'll pick up another Xbox here someday, since they go for $50 used now.

  • how do u install instructions are to difficult for me

  • how do you do it use a real cd game useing the xeon

  • all i need is ROMS!!!!!! FREE ROMS WHERE?????? PLEASE AND THANKS!

  • i am going to try the xeon too...

  • what u need to do is make a new folder and put Xeon in it then u put the Xeon configuration file right next to Xeon on the right then it will open but i still can't get halo to run on it :(

  • Were you using Windows XP or Windows Vista? I use Vista but whenever I start the game, it just stays on a black screen and nothing happens.

  • Windows XP. It's not garunteed to work for everyone (as I've heard). I haven't tried Vista yet.

  • k thx, I'll give it a try

  • nice blues, can you add this xeon fixes to your cxbx project??

  • I didn't do anything to help xeon, nor is this emulator open source.

  • where do you get halo?

  • I bought it.

  • Are you saying you used the XBOX disc? I really don't understand how Xeon works though I do have it.

  • You dump the files from a modded Xbox or a modified DVD drive and open the default.xbe file.

  • ok thanks

  • ok makes sence but dump them where

  • hey guys aren't there any xbox emulator or any way that runs iso files?

    plese help

  • how do you use it like were should i go

  • You can download Xeon @ emulator-zone[dot]net

  • how do u get the games to work every time i try it says not responding

  • What OS are you using? What are your PC specs? And you are trying to run Halo1, aren't you?

  • ahh im not that good with computers and im trying a game called mario war and wats os and pc specs

  • Well, this emulator only supports Halo1. Read the text on the side for more information.

  • ok let me know wen a emulator comes out oh and were did u get halo

  • I bought it.
