It is the Ford designed 4 litre straight 6, not the V12. The older Jaguar 4 litre 6 cylinder was a far better engine. I own a 1993 XJS 4 litre fixed head , and I love it. Mine is in Solent blue with iron ore leather and the American twin headlamp conversion. This is one car I( will never sell.

100% agree with you on the coupe v.s. convert. I just bought my 1st jag 3 days ago, an 86 xjs 5.3, and the rear window looks as if it has been set inbetween the pillars by angels... that & the interior how it just cradles you like a newborn baby. I am in love with mine. I wish you the best of luck the sell with yours.
