Unlimited energy sources are out there! But some very powerfull ppl don't want you and me to be free from energy costs,Find this technology at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Join the revolution!
@EastcoastTinker Use a normally open magnetic reed switch and adjust it's position so that the switch closes at the right time when a magnet approaches the coil. The magnet that I sensed with the switch is 180 degrees opposite the coil. When you find that sweet spot, the motor will spin good.
Free Energy is real but the coverup is strong, if you are interested in a REAL free energy machine then just search for the LT MAGNET MOTOR in the youtube video search , it is probably the ONLY working magnet motor out there. Join the free energy revolution!!
@may7charlie Reed switches can't handle the current associated with that application without help. Try this: Use a magnetic reed switch or a Hall effect switch with at lower voltage (say 4 or 5 volts) to detect the magnet. Then use the output to turn on a power transistor for the heavier load. A 2N3055 or TIP42 or similar should work. You may also need a 1N4007 diode reverse shunted across the power connectoins of the trannie to help protect against burnout from BEMF.
This is really cool!

Nice job. Would like to replicate this, but can only get my hands on a Radioshack reed switch. How would that be installed in this type of setup?

Hi
Where can I find reed switch which does not get burnt ?
I am making electromagnet which needs to be on/off by fast rotating magnet. Power supply is 12V car battery. Thanks Charlie
