  • Hey, I was wondering where can I get those stone weights that they use in this video? Looks like something I can use for my training.

  • yummy boys

  • what the songs name?

  • i wish i can go to china and live there and learn chinese....im actually hmong..or as people call it MIAO....

  • excellent video! this proves that chines are genius of martial arts and their training methods and work out are one of the bests but we don't know them very well because they still keep them as a secret from the foriners

  • Thanks for posting! Lots of fun to practice Chinese Wrestling. You have to be very smart and fast to do it, not just strong muscle. This is also wu shu or martial arts, but its history is much longer than almost any other types of martial arts. In this video, you can see some special supplies for Chinese Wrestling. These and many others are used since thousands years ago.

  • what is the 2 song call

  • im chinese i want to laern kung fu kick ass man

  • watch out when China gets going in MMA and we see high level Kung Fu in the cage! Machida has already shown us that traditional martial arts can work in MMA. Eventually we will see a good MMA fighter with heavy Hsing Yi ( or other style)influence. That will rock!

  • the old guy is kicking ass!

  • 好, I like dat!

  • i love the music, who is it?

  • Jay Chou - Fuo Yuen Jia

  • This is a great post i have this double vcd this is the first vcd on training with the stone padlocks this is serious training .These moves are not concepts i have applied them they work !!!

  • i like in Tennessee and i was wondering were can i find the

    wu bin camp ?help please

  • wow im proud to be a chinese! we rulez :p

  • dude, i'm not chinese and i think your ancestors were genius. thanks

  • Shuai Chiao is one of if not "the" oldest Chinese Martial Art no matter what anyone tries to say! Empirical evidence puts it over 3,000 years old with legend saying over 5,000 years.

Many regions have very good stylized systems with similar training methods, with each having their own special secret techniques!

This is what has made it so fun while studying the art over the past 30 years.

Mike your group seems to have found one of the really really good ones to study with!

  • AWESOME

  • I love martial arts :**)

  • What is the name of the song that starts about a minute into the video?

  • fearless by jaychow

its also the theme song of jet li's movie

  • PLEASE, if somebody know the name of the song, let us know! It's SO great!

  • Many peopledont know that the Chinese can grapple too! Or that the chinese have a good grappling art.

  • I was recently on a trip to China. During our tour of the Tinanmen Square, our local Chinese tour guide publicly told us that the governement tried to denied the incident, but everyone in China knew about it. He even went as far as to condemn the past government for their actions.

  • dude all martial arts ariginated in china just because most asian ppl want to have own cultural identities doesnt mean u go around say this when there has been clear proof that chinese first martial art was a grappling technique during early bronze age

  • Most every nation's martial art started with grappling. I'm speaking of the origins of the art in this particular video, guy. Who the hell says martial arts originated in China??? Chinese? China is Asia's USA...get it?

  • I'm sorry to say but not all martial arts originated in China. However, most Asian martial arts have their origin from Chinese Martial Arts and Indian Martial Arts.

  • I live about half of the year in China. What you say about Tirananmen is absolute crap. Everyone knows, the government says it was a big mistake. Don't believe all propaganda.

With the "stolen" martial arts, I am not absolutely sure. But I know that recently Koreans make rather absurd claims - even that Chinese medicine or writing originated in Korea. What a joke!

  • Do you know where the earliest evidence points towards? I didn't think so. Chinese medicine's earliest history is documented from a Uigyer...fact. Oh, but they're Chinese, right? Earliest writing was on a carapace from the Dongyi...that is northeast/strangers from the east. Why strangers if it's so Chinese. China has long history as in they've been around. Not the culture. The people don't 'think' about Tiananmen...they forgive the Government. Silly propaganda. PRC is full of crap.

  • Koreans didn't even have its own written characters and they used Chinese characters all along their history until couple of hundreds years ago. They invented Chinese madicine? lol why didn't they claim Jesus was originated from Korea? wait...I heard that Korean media said that Jesus was korean ..

  • Come to me with educated replies and not a hobo's argument, simpleton. Thanks.

  • you are either misinformed or foolish

  • This is a reply to old news. Refresh my memory with facts, not a statement, genius.

  • No, really...counter. Come to me with the earliest written knowledge of grappling martial arts, script, mandarin, medicine and government origins of China. Make sure you do your research. Maybe you'll just forget you even replied.

  • do you even read Chinese? If so, do you read traditional Chinese? You devoured your second hand info and regard it as truth, then claiming your scholastic authority in front of a Chinese Major from ANU. I can only judge you to be a fool.

And your writing just totally doesn't make sense.

  • Stop obfuscating. Just refute with facts, Strongass.

  • I can provide you with the facts, but I can never convince you when you don't believe in it. It really is your choice, for there is always people claiming otherwise.

Long as there is a prejudice, you fail to see the truth.

    Peace.

  • You're too predictable. Stop wasting peoples' time, oh educated one who can't read Chinese.

  • go read《史记》for a starter, then try《山海经》,《水经注》to learn Chinese mythology,《乾坤舆图志》for ancient Chinese borders; check out《伤寒论》《金匮要略》《黄帝内经》《针灸甲乙经》for info on Chinese medicine.

  • i agree with u

  • thank you, and Chinese deserve to be proud.

  • The works mentioned above are all original, written thousands of years ago, their authenticity are reinforced not only by different versions scattered around in modern day Vietnam, Korea, Japan; but also by excavated bamboo strips on which the ancient Chinese record their works before they invented paper.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I DO read and write Chinese, which I mentioned at the very beginning of our conversation.

Wish our talks have enlightened you, Mr.Falun Gong practitioner?

  • I don't practice, just find it interesting. The characters oldest written history was found in the North East...is that simple enough for you?

  • If so, tell me the name of this "oldest" work.

And yes, rulers of Manchuria have conquered the Korean peninsula numerous times, but northeast are not in any sense Korean. If anything it's reminiscent to that between Prussia and Poland. Conqueror and conquered.

  • Who said it was Korean? You're autonamous 'thinking' is clearly bullshit. Why are you responding? Go get an Oxford or Webster and look up DISCREDITED, then go take a permanent dip, wanker.

  • A Korean of your sort, can only dream up their glorious roots in wet dreams, so much for a nation.

    I rest my case.

  • You're still here? Go burn crosses or whatever it is you do.

  • it is pretty funny when I accidentally stumbled upon this:

    KR. I agree.

So you come from Korea. A Korean never fails to disappoint, shame.

  • "Long as there is a prejudice, you fail to see the truth." "So you come from Korea. A Korean never fails to disappoint, shame."

Spoken like a true, moron. You just completely discredited yourself. A hypocrite and false scholar. Debate 101...epic fail for you. Now that's 'pretty funny'.

  • cool vid and music

  • super!

  • I took this art 15 years ago. I still have nagging aches. Oh well it has made me stronger. Honestly, it made my Japanese Taijitsu more deadly accurate.

  • amazing

  • im sure u couldnt do none of that stuff.

    and what makes them amateurs?

its a training camp even the skilled ones could go there.

  • u don't know what u're talkin about

  • Thanks for the great comments, and looking forward to welcoming you all in Beijing this summer for total immersion into traditional Chinese martial arts training and culture!

    best - mikemartello

  • cool

  • Yes, I know Grandmaster Wang, we met twice before and we had Chinese new year's dinner together last Saturday.

  • Hi Mike,

That video was really good. I liked the music too.

I could have sat and watched for an hour.

    Kevin Brazier

  • That is as real as martial arts gets!!! would love to take my students to a an introduction seminar one of these days.

  • Looks great!

  • Albert, thanks, its a promo clip for the 2nd camp, hard to show everything in 9 min. There will be bag training and other equipment training. This camp I decided with Zhang to have more traditional training for all the styles. Again we are giving quality not quantity as you know from last camp. Its hard work getting all this put together so its great for everyone!!!

Hope to see you there again, mikemartello
