Momp, don't take this the wrong way, because I am the last person in the world to lavish unnecessary praise on anyone, but you have a gift for the absurd. Ok, maybe that's not a compliment. (and by the way, my kid did learn French in 2 weeks and then skipped 3 years of it in high school as a freshman, so there) What I'm trying to say is that if you can't do the videos, you should write a book. I'd buy it. Tell us what your kids think of the Mannikin Piss. We'll miss you.
@riverdaughter3 See, I'd love to write a book, but here's the problem. Who would buy it? Moms. Do moms have time to read books? No. Books kill trees, except those that go straight to e-readers. Which would be awesome and I'd be all for it, but publishers don't make money on that and would tell me to take my hippie ass somewhere else. Also, I don't smoke. All good writers smoke and look disheveled. I like to brush my teeth.
@riverdaughter3 AH, You're on to me! Actually, it's more of a time issue. Writing the scripts, editing them over and over, using the program to make these videos (State Plus) and put forth all the animation takes hours and hours and then post processing afterwards. Then responding to the emails and all that jazz. i LOVE it. But it's so time consuming. I will admit the first few videos were quick and easy to do because the characters didn't move and the scenes never changed.
@Mompetition now that they walk and move from scene to scene. It takes MUCH longer. I'm so afraid of missing anything in this once in a lifetime opportunity to live in Brussels that I don't want to spend anymore time behind this computer than I have to.
Aw that is awesome, but I'm definitely gonna miss these videos. As funny as many of them were they really gave me some insight into what it's like to be parent, and what to expect if I were to have children one day. Thank you, and I wish you and your family the best in Belgium!
