(which are normally quite inefficient)

Ummm Hello, said horses fart off methane correct ... however said horses eat organic carbon based food, which consumes humongous amounts of said greenhouse gases to grow. Are we sure that horses are really more fuel efficient and environment friendly? They have to sustain life as well as movement, require fuel even in standby or off-mode and emit lots of methane gas.. which is one of the worst kinds of global warming gas. Also.. I wonder what kind of waste it produces to make that whole "art-statement". I doubt that it is made up for in the goodwill it produces. Because: PEOPLE ALREADY KNOW!

Awesome & brilliant craftmanship! This is likely the wave of the future! Once the dollar collapses making gas $20+ a gallon, and these computer black boxes that control all new cars fail or get shut down by hacker or EMP, most folks wont have access to convert engines to water, electrical or other power- so Dean's idea is one solution. There's a Moorish-American prophecy that tings here will go back to the horse-&-buggy days, so we'll see soon enough! Thumbs up 4 the creativity!

wow yet another way to ruin a hummer!!.. its not a bad enough SUV as it is?!?! first of all.. 2 horses literally have around 10HP, and a hummer weighs around 6,500lbs that's the worst power to weight ratio in anything that moves in the history of.. well.. everything!! i understand its no worry on the horses since they can pull it with very few effort.. its just a horrible and unpractical idea.. whats the top speed 10mph? worst idea IMO

though i do not favor horse drawn carriages in the city,due to the pollutants the horses must endure! the hummer carriage is a statement and a nice one.

We will have to check for the exact weight is if the piece. But the draft horse weights about 2,400 lbs can pull three times their own body weight. Couple that along with the ingenious wagon pull and hitch the artist created made this seemly large car was easily pushed and pulled by just 1 very average size person. And in truth the point of the work is not advocating horse to pull cars. But more of a warning of where we are headed and were we came from.

artist stage coach weights around 1,500-2k pds. most of what makes a hummer so heavy is exactly what was removed by the artist to make it a horse drawn carriage. and again 1 person was able to move it with little to no effort so two horses for an hour I am sure was not strained.

The Hummercoach weighs a bit less than 2000 lbs. Each one of those horses weighs close to 2000 lbs. Do you find it hard to push a shopping cart with a couple 50 lb bags of dog food in it?

For the record, the kind of carriage pulled by a single horse in Central Park weighs about 1000 lbs, and so 2 horses pulling a 2000 lb vehicle will have no problem either.

Draft horses can pull 2-3 times their weight on wheels with relative ease. This is nowhere near that.
