  • what do you guys think of the sound from this versus something more analog? i have a dsi prophet 08 which is my one and only synth atm but im thinking about selling it and buying 2-3 other less expensive synths so i can get things for different tasks/different characteristics. the blofeld is one on the list since i found one used pretty cheap.

  • @lonelywolfy

Otherways good plan but i guess you would miss the knobs.

DSI Evolver has same capabilities as P08 plus two wavetable OSC's added to it. Theres also 3-tap delays and four small analog type of sequencers per patch. More than 2 x sound editing power compared to P08. Basic models have no polyphony though.

BUT if you buy Blofeld you'll get source for polyphonic sounds and vast amount of choices there. Still not enough knobs though.. .

  • @lonelywolfy the blofeld is great but its not so intuitive as a virus ti desktop, I have the virus ti snow, and a blofeld and the virus ti snow is very intergrated with any DAW but blofeld you would have to do all the knob and sound selection from the synth itself instead through the synth Plugin like the virus has. but I love both synth the virus ti snow and the blofeld I just love the combo.

  • there is a version with keys and desktop version with no keyboard (cheaper one)

  • There is the Blofeld Keyboard too, they both use the same sound generation at their core.

  • is it analog?

  • no,its digital.

  • there are two versions of blofeld. one called "Blofeld Keyboard" and has a keyboard with 49-keys.

  • i had this angel...but i sold...and have just one out stereooooo

  • I frakkin LOVE my blofeld. But alas, I just sent it to MV pro audio for a TOTAL board swap out. The board i had in before corrupted one of the encoders every time a new one was put it.

  • so it's possible to run several presets or self created sounds at once in an ableton-track each???

would really like to know this because i'm deciding whether to buy theblofeld or not

  • Can you please tell me if this Blofeld is better to buy than the Plugiator?

  • Ive got both.....blofeld is multitimbrael, but, the plugiator is fatter ...

My issue with the two of them is they both fk up with polyAT control...Waldorf are aware of the issue...plugiator use the polyAT area for the editor... so no fix possible....

  • big willys

  • gorgeous!

  • That's wild man. Sick little machine

  • good stuff man, that little synth is a monster

  • that sounds amazing man

  • awesome man, really cool
