Im playing on a PC but I still find this bloody impossible, some fucked up lag makes it so that I can see both the normal white cursor and the dead space one at the same fucking time, cant do SHIT to remove it, failed at this moronic mission at least like 10 times and I just cant fucking do it. Got through everything so far with ease but this just cant be done for me, totally ruined the game for me -.-.
Yep, PS3 controls sucked on this part---rented from Gamefly and stopped playing after getting SOOO frustrated at this one section. Excellent game to this point...hope it isn't in Dead Space2.

like many of you I tried this almost 10 times on PS3 (medium) and was about to quit this game forever.. i'm a lousy shot and not the best console FPS player.. BUT, this is what I did to succeed: Game brightness on max, TV brightness on max, mute audio (important), then ONLY focus on the center asteroids and the huge ones, shooting others only when necessary... concentrate and you will make it... when I finished I was exactly on 50% so I even got the trophy ;) Happy roid hunting!!

well im either a bloody excellent shot, or its the fact that i am on the PC version but I found this SO EASY?! did it for the first time last night, survived with 40% hull integrity intact, no overheats on the driver cannons either. a £50 ($80) mouse and a good eye helps too.
I made it through the first time myself. It really isn't a hard part of the game, but people seem to have issues, so I thought I would try and help them. Thanks for posting :D
PS: Did you find the mouse movements slow or laggy? I didn't.

It can totally be done you just have to focus on the middle rocks since the outward ones do less damage to you and dont over-fire. THANKS FOR THE VIDEO!
I didn't notice Impossible Oo, only hard, if Impossible is unlocked when you finish game once there's no point of playing it again for me. I play games coz of story. Destroying asteroid was quite easy for me on Hard :) . But damn i could not figure out that i must stay behind those blocks... i was just keep dying... about 8 times and then I start to google :D .
Yes. The time it takes to heat up enough where you can't use the gun anymore decreases. This was on Impossible, so the amount of time you saw it take is the lowest it goes.

Forget about those single ones, when you see a cluster of them; shoot them first. f.example. if there is 3 on the right side and one on the left; go for the right ones first. as this guy say only use double shot on big mofos, good video btw ^^
wasn't too bad i was able to defeat any boss on the 2nd or 3rd time, my favorite weapon was the assault rifle one, forget the name of it. Anyways, this was a rental, just glad i finished it on time. Damn those asteroids though. I was really impressed with the quality of this game, almost rivalled the quality of Mass Effect.
It is indeed the Pulse Rifle. And I beat the bosses/mini-bosses the first time, even on impossible. I had more trouble when there were lots of enemies and I was low on ammo.
i hated this level i died alot, i finally finished it with hull integrity at 2% lol, the damn turret moves too slow; i thought maybe if i check the control settings and it'll let you increase RS movement speed, but no such luck; i hate when video games put in these annoying little tasks that make you want to throw the game away and not finish it.
I thought that too, far too slow but just squeezed through at last second,,, what did you think of the laviathan boss? i tried all these fancy poerfull weapons n they too were all slow and i did it easy with the good ol Plasma cutter...
On impossible mode bloody hell. you must be a hardcore player lol, how much more effective do the weapons get, i think ive fucked up using the nodes...
Completely depends on the weapon. Plasma gets pretty nice. Contact gets crazy nice. Pulse gets fun to use. Flames, I don't know yet. Ripper, I don't know yet. Force gun gets useable lol. I make a vid sometime of the nodes and the paths that I found use the least amount of them.

Your playing on Hard or Impossible?
As for the suit level, it's the one you unlock after beating the game once. When you play a second round, you get this suit.

That's actually cuz I had my graphics so high that I was playing with about 10-15 fps and that causes audio glitches in this game.

I had mass effect once but couldnt get into it, i think there was too much too it for me, i agree tho it def was a good game...

I just finished it again last night on Impossible. I have all but 2 weapons maxed out and my suit is maxed as well. Tips? Idk. Watch for dead bodies.
