Do you know what the cost would be if the wiring, chrome, frames, and anything that is prefabricated prior was actually MADE in the USA. It would cost a fortune. It's only reasonable to assemble the bike here. Go to a Harley dealer, take a part off the shelf, and look at the tag on the inside.

UALHVY- I used to ocaisionly ride my KLR 650 with 4 other guys on harleys. 3 of them took out a mortgage on their homes to get their bikes. Paid cash for my brand new KLR. Wish I could afford to pay cash for a Harley but, I'd spend it on a KTM 990 supermoto.

I was on my Harley on Mopac in Austin when a guy on a sport bike sped past me then turned around and looked at me and gave a "follow me" hand motion, suggesting that I race him. Whatever. When I'm on my cruiser, I don't want to go fast and have no need to try and keep up with a sport bike, especially in heavy traffic. Likewise, when I'm on my sport bike, I get very few waves from the Harleys. It's silly when you stop and think about it.

I don't see anything even remotely resembling a curve except for at 0.53 where there is a warning sign for what appears to be a slight curve.
The fact that three people went off points to target fixation as part of the problem, at least, for rider two and three.

I ride a Jap cruiser and I like it being a bit loud. As big as the bike is, it's still no car and it's safer to be loud. Interrupting a driver's cellphone conversation makes feel just fine.

Look, bikers enjoy the open air, the freedom etc etc. So do I but just with the windows down on my car. When a noisy bike or car (harley, rice burner, dune buggy, whatever) blasts past my window at 120db it's really hard not to wish them ill.
They say they "want to be heard" but I say "they want to be noticed." They paid way too much much for whatever they're riding or driving and want the whole world to see. That's it.

I ride a sport bike and regardless what bike someone else rides I ackownledge them with a peace sign or low wave on the road. Reminder we're out numbered out there. We all take the same risk. Ture Harley men and women know this and wave back. Usually the RUBs/posers and their decked out customs metric or Harley's don't.

Harley is a way of life and rice riders will never understand it ever. And it is a totaly different experiance. They should never be catogorized in the same thought process. Maybe I was a little harsh in my fiorst comment, but the other comments made me reat that way. You can buy 5 rice bikes for the price of a Harley. All I am saying is that we are totaly different and need to stay that way. I would stop and help a downed ricer as soon as I would a Harley guy. Let it go and move on.

It was near the Conway exit just North of the Snohomish, Skagit county line. It actually happened on the Conway frontage road that runs parallel to I-5. If your not familiar with Washington State it in the norh west end of Washington about 50 or so miles south of the Canadian border.
