  • One of my favorite Bergman songs. .. It belongs to Nancy LaMott. .. Her heartbreaking performance is definitive.

  • Michael Feinstein was the first to record this song I believe. I fell in love right away with this collaborative work by the Bergmans and Mr. Mandel. I kind of like the tempo here. Usually it's done so slow the singer gets lost in the song. But Mr. Matthews keeps it real. I like that he frowned while he was singing "which tapes and dreams belong to you and which are mine," as if he was fighting with his lover about it right then! And I LOVE that he reserved all the power until the rubato!

  • Good but too rushed

  • wow....beautiful !

  • umm i feel a bit discomport on first part. the opening or the first sentence , and the closing are where you "touch" the audience's emotion.. well the rest is alright. keep up the good work ^^ keep singing..

  • i've been watching the all the recital's vids... i want to give you a standing ovation!!! i felt the song touch me heart... thank you

  • your tone is gorgeous.

    absolutely lovely.

  • is this him as a senior in high school or in college?

  • College.

  • Hadn't watched this in a while. Still love it...

  • "Where do you start" is the ultimate standard. Johnny Mandel and Alan and Marilyn Bergman were the songwriters. There are many versions of the song: Michael Feinstein, Rosemary Clooney, Nancy Lamott, Susannah McCorkle, Bea Arthur, Opie Bellas, Ronald Douglas, Eileen Farrell, Shirley Horn, Tom Gaebel, Alejandra Martin, Kenny Rankin, Shawn Monteiro, Grady Tate, Sylvia Syms, Leslie Uggams, Joyce Breach, Annie Ross and Tony Bennett among others.

  • This is beautiful. It's a very real song. My parents divorced a year ago and it's very true. Bravo!

  • VERY exciting to see you develop sir. You have a very special talent for reaching the heart of a song.. Keep working HARD!

  • wow i like how you've matured as a performer. you sound beautiful and did a lovely job! :)

  • One of your best. What a beautiful opening...

  • nice
