  • From what album is this song?

  • At the start did he play to strange brew intro?

  • @Daavoid Kind of... This intro is a standard blues intro. Eric Clapton plays this intro in other songs also, with small changes. Eric doesn't change much from a blues song to another. Listen to "From a Cradle" and "Me and Mr. Johnson" that you will get the idea.

  • I reckon he's saying 4 and 2 is 8 as in 4 times 2 is 8 :-)

  • If we fail math, We will try to find some other way to earn some money :) like Eric :)

  • @GeorgianPranks hahaha true story ! math sucks, too bad that probably the most of us won't be like Eric :(

  • I have this DVD, it's Awesome ! Really Awesome music... and I get it for cheap, something like 4+2, so 8$ if I'm right.

  • @F3FisGoodforYou Which DVD is this song?

  • I like how we're all arguing about math in an Eric Clapton video :)

I know that's what he said, but just enjoy the music!

  • Check out the left handed guy playing upside down lead..

  • @matt301273 Doyle Bramhall II baby.........you gotta get to know that name

  • It looks so easy when Clapton plays it. Then you grab your guitar to try to play it and you realize you're just a deep sh*t....

  • Four and two is six is what I learned from Robert Johnson therefore Clapton is not God.

  • I think he says 4 into 2 is 8.

  • es hermosoooo!!!!!

    y cómo tocaaa

  • Is so good that he needs to make some mistakes so we can know he is also from this planet!!

  • @E7add9 thats his plan, but he makes purpose mistakes to make us think he's human, but we all know the truth, no man could make a strat sing that sweet

  • RIP Billy Preston what a freakin beast!

  • Always Perfect

  • Che video spettacolare!!! =)

  • More Cowbell !

  • @ZombieRelic 7 months ago the world was perfect...

  • I just love this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanx ! Wish I could play like Chris Stianton!

  • And of course Billy Preston as well! 99% of the people that sit at an organ cannot play one, period! Preston just becomes one with it....love this guy!

  • Anytime you get Clapton, East, and Gadd in one room making music, greatness abounds, and epic music happens! Love this....AWESOME! BRAVO!!

  • Fuck Alabama!

  • @jlqa447 Fuck you very much yourself there dumbass! WTF does Alabama have to do with this video? SMH all over the place!

  • @THEALABAMANATI0N hahaha sorry if i offended you man i was just making a joke about the song sweet home alabama, and how i preffer this one, no offense intended, anyways :)

  • @jlqa447 No problem. Really. I get trash talked on an hourly basis. I love music more than football, though I'm very knowledgable of both!

  • Great Tracki

  • Trop bon !!!

  • sounds very generic

  • @sepultribe666 probably because its the song that started most modern music

  • it's a mix between Sweet Home Chicago, Rock me baby and Goin' Down :) Just AMAZINg !

  • @ZombieRelic

    theres six now

  • Excellent ! ! ! J adore....merci.

  • If Eric says that 4+2 is 8 then 4+2 IS 8!

  • @Axladas1 Indeed, although I have the feeling that he did this(I have yet to listen to Robert Johnson's original to check what he says) cause it's got a better ring to it (eight "sounds" better than six, lyric-wise).

  • Comment removed

  • @Axladas1 - A force multiplier. Synergy: when things are bigger than their sum.

  • @Axladas1 and implies "*" from logic gates

  • @Axladas1 works if you're multiplying

  • @Axladas1 technically robert johnson did :P

  • @Axladas1 no other way!!!!!! Long life to Clapton!!!!

  • God raises his hand and the world stops at his will.

  • 4 - who ar... f..ck you!

  • Robert Johnson would be proud of this recovery, you're a great artist Clapton, thank you !!!

  • Wunderbar... aber 4+2 = 8???

  • Must be that "new math" ...... ?

  • The Moment I hate it's the end

  • Oh how I miss SRV, everytime I hear this particular song "sweet home chicago"!

Now your home is ain't Chicago no more, but somewhere up above.

Have you met Robert Johnson yet ?

  • @themadaboutmusic THis is eric clapton not SRV

  • Dude if I were the rhythm guitarist i would not want to solo cause i mean thats freiken Eric frekien Clapton right next to me. I wana hear him!!

  • @DEANthePYTHON that is doyle bramhall ii he is a great guitarist himself. look him up

  • The annswer is Oh yeah---I DOES want'a go!!! {eenybody ups fer a Karpool???} =D

  • This is what I like, a live jam, raw and hardcore ;-) brilliant set of musicians all coming together.

  • Did he say 4 and 2 is 8? hahaha

  • @BellBottomBlues07 YES HE DID AHAHAH

  • @BellBottomBlues07 yes he did but if clapton says it let 4+2=8 :)

  • @BellBottomBlues07 He could be meaning 4 x 8. Who knows?

  • @BellBottomBlues07 He could be meaning 4 x 2************ Sorry.

  • @BellBottomBlues07 It does work, because the equation (4)2 does equal 8, because it is read that four is multiplied by two.

  • @BellBottomBlues07 Ever passed your mind that it might be 4 times 2 is 8? Guess not.

  • @MrNightrider95 Hahahahahahahaha I love people who try to look cool by being douchy. You're hilarious. And I've never heard of multiplication, how the hell does it work, anyway?

  • @BellBottomBlues07 2x2=4, 2(2x2) = 2x4 = 8. whats so funny?

  • @ZombieRelic 2 peeps disapointed you

  • 2 people wanted less hi-hat :(

  • @PuReAdD1cT less bass actually

  • More !

  • the hell expected the two who voted (not like)?

  • eric clapton with a nice powerfull version off this classic blues song great

  • 2 persons don't know about the sweet chicago ^^

  • Eric Clapton>Robert Johnson>God

  • damn.., that's was sick !

  • @ZombieRelic theres always that couple of people that have to come and ruin a perfectly good video by pressing the "dislike" button. with music like this all youtube needs is the "like" button

  • I kinda forgot he was British....then he talked......then he started playing and I forgot again!

  • who's the guy that plays the first solo... I thought he was Jeff Beck

  • @wholelotofleavin Doyle Bramhall II

  • After Clapton played the impossibly velvet-smooth riffs in "Hideaway" on the 1966 Blues Breakers album, graffitti started appearing around England that said "Clapton is God". Riffing on Sweet Home Chicago its apparent that he's lost nothing. Great song. Amazing guitarist.

  • Very good version !...

  • this is the same exact song as my uncle Gerry Moss plays!!!

  • this is the same exact song as my uncle gerry moss plays!!!

  • Robert Johnson original :) Still amazing though

  • Clapton can't add 4+2 is 8 whats up with that?

  • @nutindoin1 He says "four time(s) two is eight"

  • @nutindoin1 im thinking he means 4 x 2 is 8. but idk..lets all just enjoy the music lol

  • What do you think Johnson would have said when he lived if someone came up to him and said:" You know , in 74 years, you are gonna be one of the most influential people who have ever lived, and WHITE people are gonna record your songs, not take credit for it, and call you their hero." I think he'd laugh in their faces!

    100 years man!

  • the land of california.... or that same old place.... come on, who gives a dman. Just enjoy to see clapton and billy preston jamming a robert johnsson track

  • Clapton: "Do you need more of that?"

Christopher Walken: "Yes... We need more cowbell!"

  • @PhillipBroussard Clapton's birthday was the 30th. Walken's was the 31st.

  • Billy Preston. What a legend.

  • @ZombieRelic dislike button is disabled for awesome videos...

  • I do have to wonder why he kept saying "the land of California, my sweet home Chicago". It's supposed to be "back to that (old) place". I'm all for making a song your's but at least have it make a little sense.

A good jam session despite the weird screw ups.

  • @KatsWonderland thats how the original song is ..

  • @rohanbahadur92 The original song never mentions California as that would make /no/ sense. The original song has the lyric "back to that (same) (old) place", as I stated before. O.o (the words same and old were dropped depending on which band was singing the song but no one mentions a state that has nothing to do with Chicago)

  • @KatsWonderland orignal song says back to the land of california .. .. see this watch?v=O8hqGu-leFc

  • @rohanbahadur92 I went ahead and researched it. He's only thought to be the original singer though there's no evidence, he's just the first to record it. I'm going to have to go with the more widely accepted (and sensible) lyric.

  • @collins320 That's why the lyric is supposed to be "2 and 4 is 6, 6 and 2 is 8", he just mucked it up a bit. It was a jam session, though, so oh well. :)

  • Clapton is God

  • four and two is eight..what? good anyway ;]

  • @TheTroo Eric Clapton is a bad influence for the children :P

  • Steve Gadd + Nathan East = Great rhythmic section

  • Che blues....stupendo!

  • Such a fitting tribute for the song and the man, LONG LIVE THE BLUES!!!

  • Nice. <3<3<3 Love it......!!!!

  • AWESOME

  • best version ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Y)

  • @coolboy7979

But Chicago is still not in California...

  • Nice !!!!!!!!! :D

  • Awesome!!!!! So nice jam!! Good job!

  • He means 4 X 2 is eight .......

  • qualcuno che fa un commento intelligente .. i nomi dei musicisti??
