This looks like fun and I can see the care you take in putting RE Mastering them, kudos to you :) I always loved Wolfman Jack he seemed like a very happy, sweet guy and he was very talented, too. Keep up the great work!
Robert Weston Smith, known commonly as Wolfman Jack (January 21, 1938 – July 1, 1995) was a gravelly-voiced, American Disc Jockey who became world famous in the 1960s and 1970s. a celebrity in his own right. from his radio days to being in American Graffiti. Sir David
what's up with this music? I love the old Wolfman shows, but this music...what is it..muzak? Long live the Wolfman! Good luck with bringing him back from the dead! He'd love it!
Way to go,,,'',well done mate'', looking forward to hearing Wolfman again.
My eight year old son and I have our own little spot once a week here in NZ on a sat morning playing Rock and roll and all the classics ( The Retro Heads) My son loves Wolfman too. All the best with your work...credit to you...
I'm 28 years old, I often wish I could have grown up in the 50's, 60's and 70's. I love watching American Graffiti. My dad is a fan of Wolfman Jack, he has told me stories about how him and his friends would often sleep outside under the stars listening to Wolfman Jack. I could picture myself doing the same thing if I were alive during that time.
Pulled into Mt. Hood ski area around '72 in a VW bug late on a very cold, snowy night. No place to go get warm. The only thing that kept us from freezing to death was listening to the Wolfman on the skip. Thanks for re-mastering this one-of-a-kind DJ from our youth! He's howlin' for ya!
Then Why doesn't he have some Wolfman Jack stuff playin instead of this boring elevator sounding shit and who really wants to watch him sitting there messin with the equipment?
I have fond memories of Wolfman Jack and XERB, 50,000 Watts BABY! The BIG X over Los Angeles...and who can forget Reverend Ike on before him hussling his prayer cloths?
agapeblues Mexican Stations usually run 100,000 to 150,000 watts. I was a radio engineer and DJ for many years. You can check that out by going on Google and search "BORDER BLASTERS" radio THEMOJOMAN(.)COM see my webpage
There were many before and after THE Wolfman but ya know....will there ever be another like him? That make ya feel the way he did? That make you want to put down your iPod and listen to the radio again? I think not. Even his comparable peers would agree..there will never be another like the Wolfman! R.I.P. brother!
Brewtal12 Sorry to disagree with you but THE TALENT is out there (and right here behind this keyboard) "BUT" the BEAN COUNTING CONGLOMARATES WON'T PAY FOR TALENT they think a impersonal machine will get the audience. THEMOJOMAN(.)COM see my webpage THEMOJOMAN(reg.ustm)
I think a lot of people have fond memories of Jack and the music he played. I hope you succeed in remastering all of the recordings and hope to hear some soon.
Finland just loved him as well...back to the times when American Craffiti (the movie) was launched...it was kinda smash hit in here far away North close to Russia where the Wolves constantly howl:)
XERB !!!!1 50,000 watts OVER LOS ANGELES !!!HAVE MERCY BABY Go down to Lee and Marvin Ziedler and ziedler watch em wrestle a pair of aligators to fit ya a pair of Shoes !!One of my favorite Wolfmans ads Loved the Wolfman ....VITO
Cool! We happened to catch the Wolfman Jack raido show on XM radio this past weekend. I love it!
I met Wolfman once years ago at a legends concert in Michigan. I believe Chuck Negren, from 3 Dog Night played & maybe Jan & Dean was at that one also. And, of course, we loved the Midnight Special show and now have the DVD's they sell on TV. Midnight Special, Don Kirshner's Rock Concert, etc., There's nothing like that on TV anymore
