the game was ok but its just NOT XCOM

seriosly, i picked it off the shelf hoping to play a remake of one of my favorite games instead i got this, sure the game was ok but its just not XCOM/UFO

i seriosly can't believe that they just got the tittle just like that,

and what's even worse is what 2K is doing to it...

@Sandokaaann The game was actually pretty good when I came back to it several months later knowing that it wont be X-Com so I liked the game but it did have quite a few glitches and what could have been the most drastic difficulty swings ive ever seen(by that I mean that mission become absurdly difficult or absurdly easy quite frequently)

i see you're having problems with the weaklings LOL, if there was a single green matriarch you would have died probably :)))

Here's a tip, train 2 of your soldiers of Maj Ath, use medium armor and shotguns. Get close quickly and use snapshot. A single shotgunner can easily take 3-4 standard beastmen. Just hit once every one of them, so they will be knocked down.

Stop using snipers, they suck later in game.

With good tactics, destructible enviorment, and the classic world map?

possibly cos the original was made by Microprose.

and then later another company brought the franchise property. and tried to continue on the project to develop future titles with the simlar concept.

Si quieres sonido, tienes que poner los controles de grabacion, igual como cuando grabas audio, clickas lo que necesitas, por lo general el stereo mixer, y deja el volumen a la mitad.

por lo menos yo uso fraps, y me resulta

Afterlight's tactical portion was pretty terrible compared to the first two games. Barely any cover, and the enemies would just wander up to you eventually - so you just needed to set up a line of guys and wait to gun them down.

you can aim for body parts with snipers in afterlight???man i went through the entire game twice without knowing that or being able to take over big reticulan bases cus i didnt know how to get through the tunnels.......

Camera angles were annoying on this, and some almost impossible capture missions. It was satisfying sometimes but never really gave a sense of tactics over weapon superiority and ambushing. Not exactly X-Com 1,2,3 but not bad.

All in all a pretty good game, but still the second one was the best (too bad it didnt have the UFO intercepting part in it but anyway). The anime graphics of Afterlight and limited number of weapons was kinda annoying

i dont know if they are a sequel to the original game but they have things in common and are very good games

My favourite ep is Aftermath, but that goes crappy on my comp :P. Anyhow, I like all of them, especially Aftermath and Aftershock, but Afterlight is a new atmosphere, that's why it's cool.

I liked UFO Aftermath because, there i cloud shoot on aliens with AK-47 and there was cool echanced military uniforms, but i didnt like afterlight, because as persainprince said they are looking like Marines from StarCraft, or spacemarines from Warhammer 40K

Yeah, in fact, they are c00l too, but it still has a completely different feeling...

And when I have to chose to kill UFOs with AK or plasma guns, I'd totally choose AK =)
