Karthik should try and fight one of these guys. Missed the point of the training he did....Kalari is the mother of martial arts. As for MMA, he should go look at the Kushti fights in northern india. Its MMA done in Mud and for a whole lot longer than an MMA fight.

Like with all formalized martial arts, its not about fighting...at least he provided entertainment.

Question on some of the what appears to be sparring/bouting sessions, are they actually tring to hit each other? It dosn't really look like they are actually trying to strike their opponent, correct me if I'm wrong.

The bouts you see here are between a senior student and a junior student. So, they are not really sparring as equals, but the senior is helping the junior student practice certain forms. It has the same purpose as the 2 person katas in some Japanese martial arts.
