  • I thing michael hate bolt..!!

  • @farouqe07 ?

  • Ronnyuniverse so what do you think should happen about it.

  • If a white man had made that comment about some brother out in the jungle running faster than bolt they would have been burned at the stake. Its total Hypocricy

    (IMUS Forever)

  • still my favorite olympian along with carl lewis

  • @TKManUTD1989 Pietro Mennea was better than Carl Lewis

  • Wow, what a class. You can so tell this guys lived and still lives for the sports.

  • MJ know exactly how hard it is to run 0.1 sec faster in a 100m sprint and when Bolt did it in 9.58, he simply juz cant believe it, that's all i can see from his reaction. MJ is a legend, and nobody can doubt that.

  • @kenchua2001 he didnt run the .58 til way after the olympics.

  • lol Im daddys little girl

  • I am the fastest man on this planet muthafukas beware

  • ha like romantic nights

  • There are several perfectly good words in the English Language to describe MJ's reaction to Bolt's performance, but 'aghast' is not one of them. 'Aghast' is a word used to dexribe shock in a negative sense and is in thjs same family as 'horrified' and 'appalled'. MJ 'sunned' would have been far more accurate as stunned is a neutral word that can apply to positive or negative things. 'Amazed' would also have sufficed. 'Thrilled' might be even better. But definyely not 'aghast'

  • 'MICHEAL PHELPS, MICHEAL WHO'

  • erm Tell me your desires! Tell me the way you want me

  • @ifritejr mp is one of the greatest olympic athletes, i don't think you can even overrate him.

  • @ifritejr Monkeys! I didn't see yo mama in the race!

  • BREAKING NEWS: YOHAN BLAKE JUST RAN 19.26 in the 200 meter.

  • @crazykid1078 19.26 is a bob time

  • Michael Phelps ... Michael who? Olympics is all about the 100m and Bolt is the man.

  • @pacus123 Michael phelps is definitely better at what he does than what bolt does and I think swimming is boring as shit.

  • @AgrivatedKillah Yes, you are retarded, I agree.

  • @AgrivatedKillah phelps is NOT better at swimming than bolt is at sprinting you DUMBFUCK!

  • @100m200m400m aw..someone is mad.

  • @AgrivatedKillah and ur a faggot bitch

  • @100m200m400m It is impossible to compare strawberries with pussy - they both taste great but there is no basis for comparison. So your Phelps/Johnson debate is facile. meaningless and reveals a certain lack of perspicacity and intelligence.

  • @Brooksider100 I didnt say bolt was better at sprinting either, tell gthat to this fool, you fucker.

  • @100m200m400m The wonderful thing about the truly ignorant people in this world is that they are so easy to identify. A distinct possibility is that 100m200m400m is a maladjusted sub-simian adolescent - a classic troll. If it's an adult you need counselling at the very least. I rest my case.

  • @AgrivatedKillah I feel sad for somebody who has obviously never experienced the soaring joy and sense of release that only a good shit can give! Maybe you need to be a little less anally retentive.

  • @Brooksider100 How am I being "anally retentive" because I said Michael Phelps is better at what he does?

Also, the olympics isn't about just running you idiot, it's about EVERYTHING.

  • @AgrivatedKillah Go back to school for about another decade (ten years) and you might get some grasp on the subtlety of the humour which up to now has flown blissfully over your head and on into cyberspace. Sit down with Wikipedia (if you can read) and examine the chapters on satire, tongue in cheek humour, wit and repartee. It's not your fault you are thick - jut don't advertise it so blatantly.

  • @Brooksider100 Do you think your nickname 'AgrivatedKillah' gives us a small clue to your psyche?? Think of all the names you could have chosen - 'HappyBoy' as an example, or 'LoveMyLife'. What are you hoping Santa will bring you - a gun or a club??

  • @pacus123 Does Usain have 8 gold medals? lol

  • @tromuniapp Umm ... He's got a lot more than that.

  • Johnson is both likeable and a legend. Still 400m record holder. Class act.

  • i like his attitude on the fact that his record was broke and he didn't had nothing negative to say about it. when michael johnson was running he couldn't be touch but there always going to be somebody who's going to break the record no matter what. well at least usain bolt did and not nobody else.

  • @leonette83 I feel like years ago he'd be pissed. With age, his name was able to settle into the history books and whether that WR document is valid or not, it was for years so it's only left to give back.

  • Michael wants to race again and beat the shit out of bolt

  • hey, i like michael phelps also

  • Aghast? More like agape.

  • Yeah it's the biggest stage of his life in the biggest race of his life and he didn't just go off his head a little in the winning, no he thought, i'll just take it easy and make sure I can pick up a couple extra bucks in the next few years. Clearly a cold calculated individual that Usain Bolt.

  • fuk michael johnson

  • One day, when Usain grows old and can no longer run like he does and then someone comes along and beats his 100m WR, he's gonna be sorry that he shut down early.

    You'll be sorrrrrrryyyyyyy!

    :D

  • @LedWhisky69 It seems you are not aware of his 9.58 WR, in which he did not 'shut down' by any means, and he ran through the tape, though he did look around somewhat in the last 5m or so looking for Gay.

  • @stu3cla I absolutely am aware, but I truly believe that he would have ran faster than a 9.58 in Beijing had he not shut down early. In fact, I'm absolutely convinced of it. There's no question whatsoever that he shut down in the last 10 meters, so I don't know what the hell you're talking about. It's as plain as day in the video footage.

  • @LedWhisky69 Agreed....Bolt barely tries with 100m...in beijing they said his meal hours before the big race was fast food...infact chicken wings...but he is dead serious with 200m in finals, unless he has another event coming up e.g 400m relay. People say he could of easily gone under 19 secs if he tried....maybe with more training from getting out of the blocks...thats about it. He tries his hardest for 200m because he is a 200m runner.

  • @stu3cla Wait, you mean he didn't shut down at all in Berlin when he ran the 9.58. Oh, that's correct, but like I was saying, I know he could have ran faster than that in Beijing had he not shut down in the last 10 meters. I have my doubts as to whether he will ever be as well conditioned as he was in Beijing ever again. He's young, but the clock is ticking.

  • @LedWhisky69 Yes, that's what I meant. He was in great shape during Berlin as well, but he had to really press at the end for that time, when if he would have ran through the tape and Beijing he may have broken 9.6 there.

  • @stu3cla Whew, he was so far ahead of the pack in Beijing, I think he had a great chance of breaking 9.5! It was an absolutely amazing performance and he totally blew his chance at creating a pratically unbeatable WR.

  • @LedWhisky69 I think the reason he didn't want to go that fast at Beijing, potentially sub 9.5, because he knew if he just won and set a WR (9.69) and it was fairly easy, then he would be able to do it again. And you get a lot of money if you break a WR, so three WR's in the 100m means more money than just potentially 2. Also, as with most famous people, the success and lead he had got to his head.

  • @stu3cla Hmm, that's actually a pretty good point. Perhaps he was thinking longterm and only want to run just fast enough in Beijing to be certain that 1) He broke the old record and 2) He won the Gold. If he could do both of those things again in London, imagine how much money that will generate for him. Smart thinking, there.

  • @LedWhisky69 I think he got at least 600K for Beijing, and probably the same for Berlin. So probably in the millions for London, considering the 100m is the most popular event there. Plus all of his sponsors.

  • @stu3cla The great Sergey Bubka did that "TRICK" 35 times in his career jumping from 5.80 to 6.15m and his coach said he jumped 6.35 during his trainings.

If Bolt and Glenn Mills do the same for a couple of times....ther's nothing strange

  • @bajinj0 Did you know That Bubka's son is now a professional tennis player? He got knocked out of the US open today.

  • @stu3cla I think he will never be in 100m shape as he was in Beijing.

In Berlin he had more speed endurance due to his training but he said "I'm not trained well as in Beijing but still i can do the record".

Maybe with +2.0 wind he can beat that 9.58 but in Beijing He could have done a 9.4

    P.S.37.04 in the relay ;-)

  • They have an amazing spot and they watch the race on tv... lame!

    ;-)

  • Haha...he raised his arms just like Bolt while watching!

  • i scrolled down to comment on the running..why is the first name i read michael phelps...

  • Lol someone out there in the jungle Lol I have been a fan of track and running since I was about 6 and we would, as kids, always say that some dude in the jungle or the woods, or mountains or something can beat everyone, we just never heard of him Lol

  • ROFLMAO at these comments.

  • @TheoStarks I think he just meant there might be someone out there with the potential to beat Bolt not just someone who needs a flight fare paid for.

  • Kudos to Michael Johnson for being quite gracious in acknowledging the athletic prowess of Usain Bolt. A past athletic of his caliber often has nothing good to deliver when his past accomplishments are eclipsed by someone who is simply better.

  • usain bolt athlete of a lifetime. glad i got to see him run

  • MJ knows for a fact that the fastest people will most likely live in the jungle...

  • press 9 for poof

    Michael Johnson

  • There's probably people in like Africa who can run faster then Usain when they can just come to America or something and get rich off running... instead they're living day by day hunting for their own food and shit.

  • I care not about the fish/mammal debate. What I love is that MJ, one of the greatest athletes this planet has seen is still so excited about his sport he acts like a school boy when he sees something "cool". That is so refreshing. That is really inspiring.

  • @Daz555Daz i agree

  • @Daz555Daz brilliant comment, one of the best i've ever read on youtube. i love seeing sports' stars reacting like little kids when they see something special or exciting happen in their sport, it lets you know that not everyone out there is in their sport for the money !

  • @Daz555Daz faggggggggg

  • @Daz555Daz MJ is A really DOUCHE...Biggest Diva that ever existed in the sport of track and field!

  • "someone in the jungle somewhere" LOOOOOL is he on about a zulu jungle warrior hahah

  • Regarding Johnson's "jungle" comment: if he was a white guy, he would have been crucified for this. Just sayn'.

  • @altratronic Yes, because Johnson is black, therefore it is obvious that the comment is not meant to be racist or harsh or demeaning in any way. If a white person said it, it could have been all of those things.

  • @altratronic Yeah but listen to the whole sentence He's tryin to think of a place where anyone else would be as fast, wouldnt have worked if he said " There might be someone out there in ...Alaska"

  • @04zambo I'm agree, people in the jungle are faster than people in Alaska

  • @altratronic Maybe he should have said Forrest.

  • Swimming is like Lacrosse, sports that the pussies who couldn't play the real sports took up.

  • @MrSpliffstarz what "man" sport would you have someone play in spring. football is over, wrestling is over..all you have left are lax, baseball, and golf. you actually get to physically assault someone with a metal stick in one of them...in the other two you do nothing but stand around and twiddle your thumbs in the other two.

  • @TheBulldawg4life I view lacrosse the same way as i view ultimate frisby, a hobby!

  • How are you guys comparing a swimmer to a track runner? Its like comparing two different sports. You can't compare basketball with football or baseball with soccer. Each of them have their own ability and that is why they are good at it. You sound like idiots trying to compare them. Just watch the video and shut the hell up. Michael Johnson needs to rethink about his decision. Michael Phelps was the biggest star out of the Olympics so Michael who? Yeah, referring to yourself sir?

  • the most unathletic kids i know have taken up swimming in high school. the most athletic have taken up track. end of story.

  • @bradawah619 This is a month after ,but I felt like replying anyway. Just so you know high school swim teams are fucking jokes, so you really can't judge it on that. I'm a swimmer and when I was 14 I had to swim 9 times a week for 2-3 hours plus being in the gym 3 times a week. There is no sport that I know of that demands such commitment and hard work at that level around 20+ hours a week at 14, swimming training is fucking insane and swimmers are in ridiculously good shape.

  • Michael who?.... Michael phelps, swimmer, EIGHT OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALS the week before the athletics started, SIXTEEN overall. You cant compare the 2 as to who is better. Both are unreal athletes and its disappointing to hear MJ say that.

  • Running > Swimming

After Olympics have passed who do all the kids around the world wanna be like, runners or swimmers. I think we all know the answer to that.

  • @resmen81 they want to be like someone who actually makes money...not someone who gets talked about once every 4 years.

  • lol I had to look up how many calories are burned for both swimming and running in an hour. Running at 10 miles per hour burns 1126 calories for a 155lb person while swimming the butterfly stroke (the hardest style) burns 780 calories for a 155lb person in 1 hour. As a result, even though swimming obviously gives you more of a full body workout than running, running still burns more calories faster than swimming does.

  • @SethComposerGuy But it's much easier to swim for a prolonged distance, so in the long run you're going to burn more calories

  • Wow......PHELPS????? This track and Field......there is no comparing the 2. Apples and Oranges.....

Wow some racist whites just can't stand seeing a black man accomplish anything. Simply incredible.

  • Comment removed

  • @john17972 but it still took him practice and time to achieve that potential dont just give all the credit to luck

  • @symba The long Jump is an entirely different event. It is not a race. It is a field event. Also the 4x400m relay is not 200 meters or less now is it?

Like I said, there are 4 events that cover a distance of 200 meters or less in track and field. The 100m, 110m hurdles, 200m and 4x100m relay. In swimming there are 12 events that cover 200 meters or less. 3 relays, 100m and 200m for every stroke and the 50m freestyle.

  • @bobeagle007 No it has nothing to do with skin color. It's just about swimming vs. track and field. The fact is that it wouldn't be humanly possible to win 8 gold medals in track and field. Swimming is the only sport in which you can even attempt to win that many medals. By covering multiple distances with each of the different strokes and by having several relays within the 200 meter distance, it becomes possible for a swimmer to compete in moe events than a sprinter ever could.

  • Usain bolt and michael phelps do different sports. You can't compare them, nothing to argue about. They're both freaks of nature...

  • @DJLensterr Both must be fantastically well endowed though

  • @jdot66 ..yeah like you're good at anything..you can't even spell..Nigga is spelt Nigger..Focking is spelt Fucking..why don't you take your unemployed arse out into the fresh air and get a job..Ever had any pussy dude?i doubt it..what girl is gonna wanna sleep or spend time with a waste of space like you?Fucking child molestor..

  • This is a track and field video.

    Enough said.

  • @daexmachinus ...whats your point?

  • @triplestep1829 Why is everyone talking about swimming and stuff? This is a track and field video how did swimming get into this?

  • @daexmachinus because he said 'michael phelps...michael who', because usain bolt is better than him, and they're respective sports are swimming and athletics. did you really not get that?

  • The thing is that swimming is the only sport in which you can possibly win 8 gold medals. If you look at the list for athletes who won the most gold medals at a single olympic games, 5 of the top 6 are swimmers. The other guy is a gymnast (another sport where you can win several medals). The main thing is that in sprinting, there are 3 races at 200 meters or less. If you want to stretch it to include hurdles, there are 4. In swimming there are a dozen races that are 200 meters or less.

  • @sandman1347 gail devers could also do 110 hurdles, so hypotethiucally a sprinter could do , 100 metes, 110 hurdles,200 metres, long jump, 4x100 and 4x400 ( regis did it) so in total..6 golds... carl lewis won 4 if i'm correct 100,200, long jump and 4x100

  • @sandman1347 Is this a black or white thing? Are you comparing black and white athletes?

  • Indeed. Let's argue about Bolt being doped up on some new drug so he can behave like that :-D

  • @SPeitsch ...its a natural talent..hard for you to understand i know but athletes like him have been doing it for years..

  • Wait.. are people really arguing about swimming and running in the comments ? WTF !?

  • Bailey > Johnson

  • could he be any more American haha

  • and chefawkes, 3% of the world knows how to swim because that 3% is in modern society where they actually can spend their time in the water as opposed to spending the entire day in other countries working 16 hours a days just to feed themselves. It's not harder than running, you've obviously never thrown up after a track workout. How ignorant can you be.

  • Swimming is a joke because half of the world records were broken in Beijing when they were allowed to wear swimsuits that covered their entire bodies and had less friction against the water than human skin. Also, it would certainly be a lot easier for a sprinter to get 8 gold medals if there were 32 other sprinting events to compete in...

  • Aside from the fact that hurdles test how agile you are. They also make the 400 significantly harder. At least hurdles actually test how well the human body performs. Making up different strokes just looks weird. Let's also not forget that hurdles have been around since the ancient olympics also. Way back then, they found hurdles applicable. Whoever brought up long jump is an idiot because jumping is applicable to every sport, including swimming. How dumb can you be

  • Somewhat ignorant statement about the jungle people...

  • usain should be aghast at michael's time in the 400. 43.18 so gross

  • ahh! where is the vid of the race he's watching? i'm not sure which one it is.

  • and 3 percent of the world knows how to swin??? wow what a stat. talk about pulling something out of your ass. the chinese are deadly divers so there is lots of swimming going on there and north america we all swim at some point in out life. well done moron.

  • @dude1111222 yeah iono where that bs stat came from.

  • u are smokin crack if u compare what bolt has done to phelps. the most revered record in all of olympic sports and he smashes the world record and then goes on to break the 200 metre record and relay record as well and is contemplating breaking the 400 metre record down the road and sitting at 24 years old. bolt is a global superstar. phelps did it in different swimming relays. might as well throw in 200 metre relays and 150 relays. add it up and bolt would have 8 gold medals and 7 records too.

  • press 2... again... again... again...OH

  • There will be someone in the world who is quicker- but Bolt is still out of this world.

  • fucking hell youtube, how have you managed to turn this video into a debate between running and swimming.

  • @Mollives Because Phelps was mentioned during the video, I guess.

  • @Mollives Haha! They're still at it, four months on.

  • He's black so he can make racist comments all day long.

  • fuck that comment at the end.

  • Excuse me did he say Jungle or was I hearing things?

  • @dentgregg - yes, you did hear right! But let man of any other race say that & all hell breaks loose...

  • If Usain Bolt competed in races similar to those of Phelps, they would include hopping on one leg, running backwards and the three legged relay. If someone's chasing you on land, you run like hell. If a shark's chasing you in the water, you don't try to impress him with your butterfly form .

  • @56mikeo Lol how true

  • @56mikeo i dont understand lol. whats your point?

  • @56mikeo

If someone's chasing you on land, you don't run in a straightline or a predesignated route nor do you wait to go. Don't go trying to say that swimming is more of a sport than track and field, it's the freakin' Olympic's; it's all sport.

Though I'm with you on your first comparison. Running backwards is analagous to backstroke; and yea with enough events Usain Bolt would probably get 8 gold medals as well. But that would make him on par with Phelps (not saying he's less than Phelps)

  • @56mikeo 3000m steeple chase, 400m hurdles, 110 hurdles... 'nuff said

  • @56mikeo Freestyle is the fastest way a human can move in water and running is the fastest way a human can move on the land. track runners have hurdles and swimmers have different strokes.Phelps cares about his form because the better form the faster he goes. If you're telling me that bolt doesn't care about his running form then you are an idiot. track runners have strange events like hurdles and long jump.Swimmers have different strokes. next time use yourbrain before you post dumbass comments

  • @MrDTAO I agree that hurdles are just as stupid as some swimming strokes. Long jump is legitimate interesting event and sprinters rarely enter either hurdles or long jump events (there have been SOME) but swimmers enter similar events all the time.

  • @56mikeo I found this to be really funny.

  • @56mikeo if someone's chasing you on land you turn around and javelin their head. or pole volt to safety, or maybe just do some superfly judo trip then hammer throw their body off a cliff.

  • @56mikeo I think I mentioned this before...110m Hurdles, 20k race walk, these are Olympic events. Additionally there are the jumps for which there is no equivalent in swimming.

  • @56mikeo lol brilliantly put

  • LMAO! Swimming is for fish. Establishing new Olympic records is for Lightning Bolt

  • Phelps who??

    haha i love that

    f swimming

  • Since I like to run and swim everyday. I like Johnson, Usain, and Phelps. But Johnson's comment was absurd. Its like comparing a cheetah with a dolphin. Yes, everybody has two legs but that does not mean that swimming is easier than running. By the way, I hate racist comments and I think Johnson commited that mistake. Sorry for my english. Im italian. :)

  • o, and as far as i am informed, black people have lighter bones and their muscles are different then white peoples... and when you look at it its true black people are dominating in sprints, and if they had better standards they would rule sports :)

  • phelps competes against 3 % ? dont know maybe, butt if you just knew how hard it is to make it in swimming you wouldnt say that, bouth of them are legendary... btw i train swimming for 10 years and i m not even close to that lvl

  • @stralle2yu this level its a combination of training and the bigger factor of genetics.

  • @stralle2yu lmao this is my 11th year training swim . im from where nathan adrian swam when he was 6-18

    haha seattleeeeeeeeeeee

  • @stralle2yu if you just knew how hard it is to shave of .1 second on your 100m time you wouldnt say that, bolt and phelps are both amazing...btw my friend been running for 10 years and hes not even close to bolt's level

  • Michael Johnson has flown under the radar on this. He was phenomenal in his own right. I like the way he can put his own ego aside and admire the speed and talent of Usain. Did you see the likes of Ben Johnson do that when Carl Lewis broke the world record? Although, they were personal rivals and it was BJ's record which got broken makes it a bit more personal, but none the less, it's nice to see another athlete give credit where credit is due.

  • @vuzzler Errr yes he does? Its pretty obvious that he's amazing and if he can go slower through the race and still get a WR doesn't that just emphasise how great he is?

  • @Holaaa2000 usain bolt is problably the most talented athlete in the world right now, but talent does not make u great, it is how u use ur talent

  • bolt does not deserve to be considered as the top athlete in the world because he shuts down 3/4 the way through a race, u ever here tiger missing a putt on purpose. the greatest always give it their all. etc jordan, tiger, Lance Armstrong, Federer

  • @vuzzler Lance Armstrong took drugs.

Tiger slept with hoes and his performance in golf atm is no where near as it used to be.

How is it if Tiger decided to miss a putt on purpose related to usain bolt beating a world record in style???

    Don't write shit please.

  • @CCFCstormin should usain bolt be the best athlete in the world? that is the topic. bolt is probably the most talented athlete, yes but can he handle adversity. armstong taking drugs has never being proven or they would have taken tour de france titles away. if u can't figure out "How is it if Tiger decided to miss a putt on purpose related to usain bolt beating a world record in style???" then maybe ur not to bright, in that case, its a was waste of my time writing this

  • @vuzzler You just wrote another Big LOL.

"Bolt doesn't deserve to be a top athlete cuz he shutsdown 3/4 through a race" eeeerm excuse me but if he can start doing the fucking macarena 10m before the line and still break a world record, I think we'll let him have the top athlete award!

Ok, what I think you're really struggling to try and say, is the fact that Bolt hasn't put in every maximum effort to win the race (although smashing the WR, and winning the race of course) is not deserving......

  • @vuzzler ........of being called a top athlete because if tiger missed a putt on purpose he wouldn't get it???? Ok..... firstly you need to say whether Tiger is winning the golf and if by a big margin, then you might start making some sense. Clearly and quite obviously Tiger isn't because he's shagging 15 hoes and is not nuimber 1 in golf, he's lost MASSIVE respect and his golf play has worsend dramatically.

And yeah, when Bolt won the 100m in Beijing Michael Johnson said exactly what Bolt is.

  • anyone that shuts down 3/4 way through a race does not deserve to be urgued as the top athlete in the world, u ever hear tiger woods missing a putt on purpose

  • @vuzzler we get it you're a hater that's jealous no need to post three times in the video with your same shit

  • @puertorricane well i cant hate on any puerto rican runners, because i never see any in the olympics. the reason i posted three times, is because, i could not see my post

  • bolt will diminish by next olympics, phleps has proven that can get better

  • 1 yr ago posted-trying to compare Phelps. I originate from Jamaica and know of no public olympic swimmingpool-how can we dominate something when we don't have it& regardless of popular belief Jamaicans don't all live near the sea,the majority live inland miles from sea so how can we be world champions of an elite sport for us?come on running is something that all able bodied people can do,u can run anywhere To be the fatest at what every able bodied human can do is special.Go Usain-the greatest

  • @jogjog1000 Thank you! This is what people fail to see sometimes.

  • Comment removed

  • 1 year ago posted-• quality Michael Johnson, Usain you are the best, simply as. To come back from car crash and smash you own record in Berlin...wow

  • 1 year ago posted-don't bother waste time on people who are happy to accuse others without proof just because they are sad, jealous, haters, they've got nothing to show for their lives,whatever-not interested.I just want to praise Usaine each and everytime.Us Jamaicans know this simple country boy made good, broke the world record way back but it didn't count coz it was done in Jamaica. He has curvitire of the spine and came back from a car crash to brake his own world records. Praise him

  • come back to this clip after one year and still reading the same old thing! Yes Usain may not have won every race this year but he is human and not taking drugs. I'm looking forward to the Olympics 2012. Here's what I posted 1 year ago LOL for those going round in circles. Negative vibes won't be answered as it says more about you. Praise Usain
