The scene selections, the timing, and context are incredibly well done on this video. (The monk robes contrasted to a nun's "habit", hilarious!) Thank you for your work, this has become one of my favorites!
OH MY GOODNESS. I've been watching your "Don't Rain On My Parade" video all week, and this just might surpass it as my new favourite. I just love how you work with original Who, honestly.
I love this video!! It's so perfect; the only thing that could possibly make it better would be Matt Smith (I know he wasn't the Doctor back then) but it's one of my all time favorites.
I could totally see them doing this at some point, probably the Tennant era (Sorry, Nancy, but if they thought of this, they would!) Could be him just singing it to himself, or with either Rose or Donna, I'd think.
I'm doing a version of this for a little show-and-tell for the rest of my theater group in my local Cultural Center in two weeks. With my Tenth doctor, Rose Tyler, Lilo and Stitch toys (I kinda am into a Lilo abnd Stitch/Doctor Who crossover). This was actually inspired by this vid (as well as the fact that I've kinda thought this song and Doctor Who could really go together.)
0 dslikes.. and for good reason! Brilliant!!! Please check oiut my channel for some funny short cartoons! Thinking about doing a Dr. Who vs Bill and Ted Phone Booth drag race through time!
I love this! The timing is brilliant and all the clips work so well. I love that you got a little bit of lip sync with the spoken parts. It's such a fun song and it works so well with "Doctor Who" (and I love that you have a nice blend of the old and new series). My favorite part has to be the sequence with different bits of the Doctor hitting the TARDIS console in time to the beat. On the whole - wonderful job!
This is a wonderful video, its just amazing. I have featured it on my facebook page Doctor Who and the Tardis by Craig Hurle, its got 24,000 members and they will love this I am sure, well done, just brilliant!
@BoyNamedSue4 No idea, as it was a while ago and I tend to make vids in dribs and drabs, hopping between projects. :) Maybe a few weeks for clipping and a couple of days to put it all together?
@CraigHurle74 Thanks for sharing it on your FB page. Gives us new Doctor Who fans a chance to see the Older Doctors. Makes me want to watch the originals. Love the video.
Great idea and great video...but why no Matt Smith? Surely he's got enough good scenes from his first season as the Doctor by now to include at least one or two...
Wonderful. Absolutely Wonderful. Very funny, very clever and perfect timing on every single one of the clips. Beautiful. Thank you. You should be given an MBE. Or an OBE. Whichever one they give for services to...wherever and whoever.
Hooray! I love the Muppets and I love Doctor Who, so this video is right up my alley. Very creative and a great use of clips from every era. Thanks so much for sharing this!
Great video, but you missed a trick. Should have ended it with that clip of Tennant from 'Tooth & Claw' where he says "The Muppet Movie! Love that film." :)
Great selection of clips all the same. Put a smile on my face.
@Finbarzapek That's mainly because I hated that episode so much I've only seen it all the way through once and I forgot all about that line. :D (Not really a Tennant fan.) But thanks for the comment!
I cannot describe in words the sheer JOY this gave me. I was in a lousy mood today but by the time I'd finished watching this I had a huge grin on my face. Thank you!
Ahh, the Tardis! Gotta love that ol' machine! (The Tardis Spill Clip show and the hitting, Smoke-brushing, and straightening-up clip show starting at 1:26)
Oddly enough I have wanted to make this video myself for, oh I don't know, three years? Your version even has some of the same scenes in the same spots I had in mind. Way better than mine though, especially since you actually went out and made it... kudos to you, it's very well done and absolutely adorable!
I love this video! I've watched 3 times already and of course I have that song in my head. You were so great at picking the right scenes to go with the words and it makes me want to watch more of classic Doctor Who.
Ah, there are definately worse things to get stuck in your head than this. Ever seen Lamb Chops Play-Along with Seri Lewis? It's ending song, The Song that Doesn't End, is extremely hard to get out of your head (but I still like it, though!)
This is completely fabulous on so many levels! I'd comment on specific great moments, but every clip was so well placed, I wouldn't know where to start. It totally makes me want to get better acquainted with classic Who. I've watched a bit of it, but I need to see more. :) Awesome vid!
Yeah. the funny part about that is that the Tardis does make these kind of wrong turns quite often, so one can definately see him accidentilly landing in satchcatchewan (no points for spelling).
Oh, it happened long after Susan left. That was the Hartnel era. Remember The Idiot's Lantern? Rose and the Doctor were trying to get to New York to see Elvis, but ended up in London instead! There are many others from all over the series. The Tardis, apparently, is(still) not that reliable a machine!
Oh sure, I know. I was implying that the Tardis and/or the Doctor are drawn there subconsciously. The Tardis has its own personality and is very much in tune with the Doctor. Sometimes it takes him where he needs to go instead off where he wants to go.
Hehee :DD This is just awesome. The whole thing is just so clever and silly and I just couldn't stop smiling at it - I especially loved the middle bridge with all the falling around in the Tardis. Lol, Muppets and Doctor Who - what a fantastic combination!
haha, this video is awesome! the song is just perfect :P
