Who is The LIGHT? GOD - Christ! That is who the Light is! Hell is seperation from God. Eternal seperation from God - forever.

Now some men will say "Well, if Hell is black and there is fire in it - then that is a lie, fire has light". Well, get this. There is a blue flame, a orange flame, a white flame and red flame. Turn on your stove and you will see the blue flame. Did you know that the black flame is the hottest flame? Now go back to what you were saying - NO GOD - NO LIGHT

Yeah, I found that out the hard way too. And you ARE correct - the Bible says that we are not to "Debate" and people do NOT want to know the truth. Who is the truth? Christ. Why do people NOT want to KNOW Christ - as in a personal relationship with GOD. Well, it is a difference between RELIGION and RELATIONSHIP and this PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP scares people. People think you can' KNOW GOD, but we can!

we cannot lose something we did not earn to begin with if we could lose our salvation then if we lost it we could never get it back

That's right, brother. The Bible even tells us that salvation cannot be lost. It is a gift.

Romans 11:29

For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. (salvation is one of those gifts. This means it is without repentance is irreversible)

2 Corinthians 7:10

"For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of..."

(this verse further shows that salvation can not be repented of. Once you are saved, you are stuck with your salvation!)

@Christdiedforyou3, AMEN. If you personally can earn it - you can lose it. But thanks be to God, we CAN"T earn it, so we can't lose it. We are held by Gods hand as it says in the gospel of John.

I'm still learning, but I'm so lucky to have found such a great bunch of people on here. I've learned so much from them. They have really strengthened my faith in the grace of God. I'm so glad I didn't stumble across the wrong people when I first started out. :)

I believe some people cannot have the simple truth of salvation. For some, Just believing and trusting Jesus is to easy. There has to be some conditional work. I believe some who confess Jesus still have the world mentality in them.

Some people who say they love Jesus feel more comfortable showing it to prove that they are saved. It makes them feel that they are a "true" Christian.

There are some who beleve one can lose salvaiton due to pride, with some, fear, others, they just honestly think that this teaching is true.

In anycase, Jesus holds us in His hands, our salvation is not based on what we do or fruits or anything of the sort.

You will get many who will give you a very hard time on this. I know, it keeps coming at me everyday.
