In theory: ball is slowing you... if your partner run ahead of you and you pass the ball to him, you can run ahead of him a and he can pass the ball to you. You can move ball very quickly this way in just 2 people.... maybe.

If you are specced for tanking you need to use guard on the ball carrier of your side, or your healers, or big dps. It reduces the damage they take by a lot. Also taunt puts a debuff on the target that reduces the damage they do. A pvp tank guide on the official forums for sith juggernauts goes into great detail.

You got the last statement wrong. PvP gear is 10% better in PvP... PvE gear is 10% better in PvE.

That is the thresh hold... PvP gear isn't 10% better across the board.

@dardi16 Powertech and Vanguard are two ranged-classes that deal with mid-close combat because of their abilities. While Mercenary and Commando deal with long-ranged. Powertech and Vanguard are the two most heavily armed AC's in the game, they're the tanks if you will.
