@failcube It's not supposed to. There's more to transcribing than just operating the software. You can type the information into any word processing program you want to use. This video is to show how to use Express Scribe, not how to put on your headset and how to type. "Geez." LOL
@ksmusselman The video doesn't show any of the integration abilities or actual use - it's a run through of the OPTIONS of the software. That's not a "how to use" tutorial
@failcube This is an earlier edition of Express Scribe and I plan to do another tutorial on the newer version in which I'll go through the rest of the features. :-)
I've downloaded Express Scribe Pro 5.48 transcription software free version to try it out onto my Windows 7 64bit system. I've loaded an mp4 file to be transcribed into MS Word 2007. When I press play I get nothing in MS Word 2007. Can you advise me as to what steps I'm leaving out? Thanks Jim Cook
Hi, I don't speak english nor understand at all it, but I'm interested in transcribing a video that is loaded on youtube, yesterday I downloaded the program Express Scribe but I'm just not sure on how it works. Please, I need help! the length of my video is about 6 min and 10 secs.

Your video is great. Thank you so much. I have a question for you: Which foot pedal would you recommend? It seems that there are a lot available.

@louleeloublue
You can load your files a couple of ways:
1. Open Express Scribe, then click on File - Load Dictation File, then browse your files for the file to load
2. Right click on the audio file and select Open With, then select the Express Scribe program.
Hope this helps!

i wonder...just out of curiosity can i use that program to ah...reverse speech...convert my computer into a reversal machine...great for our blog

Funny you should ask that - and yes it does. I just tested it. Sounds funny when you reverse it too, like something out of the future! ROFL
When you load the recording, just select what part you want to reverse, then on the menu bar click on Effect and then Reverse.
Have fun! :-)
