origlilone--Like many movies out there, it' s nothing more than a platform for the writers/directors/producers, etc. to spew forth their political beliefs. In this case, according to Woody Allen, those on the Right are misguided and silly. Those on the Left are, of course, wise and good. Sure, you can say "IT'S A MOVIE," but don't be so naive as to believe that movies are harmless. It's obvious you haven't seen his other films, as your generalisations are plainly inaccurate. The shortest and most obvious example would be the existence of your 'nubile girl who's stupid'... find one in Interiors, if you can.

As for drawing Allen's personality traits from his characters, (and assuming they don't change over time).. it's a common mistake. Confusing a comedian (of all people) with his act. Watch the TIME interview for a little insight..
