@Beaster456 - Actually, Rik Mayall was cast as Peeves for Philosopher's Stone and his scene was shot but was cut from the final movie and the deleted scenes. Christopher Columbus said it could appear in a "future edition", but no luck so far (even the "Ultimate" Edition! I agree completely though, Peeves was a massive loss to the series and especially Order of the Phoenix ("It unscrews the other way," whispered McGonagall).
