At some point, though, my parents didn't really want me to have the blond blue haired barbie as example of beauty. They didn't want me to get caught up in that. Nothing against blond ladies of course but my parents wanted me to also have barbies that looked like me and they started searching for black barbies (which they didn't really have when I was growing up. I'm 22 and I was born and raised in Holland).
