I just got done finished from watching like just moments ago. I must say this is a fantastic movie. I honestly thought it was real, until I looked it up on the internet because I got really curious to know if it was real or not. Thank god some of the parts were fake, but I would just like to know what parts were and were not acted because the whole thing looked realistic. I'm at an age where I get confused quite easily, and kinda hear me out on this and help.. Otherwise this movie is awesome.

@j12di I literally also just got done watching it and I thought it was awesome. I am totally bummed now after just googling it and finding out it wasn't real also. My buddy says he knew it was fake, but waited to tell me after because he could see I was enjoying it so much. That reminds me I actually saw the first ever screening of The Blair Witch Project at the Enzian Theater in Maitland Florida and I thought that was real too!

@gfurst Well the entire movie is fiction, but it has been filmed on real marketplaces and among real people who had no idea about the movie. I read they even claim the bounty hunter was real, but i doubt it

I cried a lot during this documentary and I was pretty upset thoug still relieved when I found out that it was a faux documentary. It's really authentic and the phone call at the end is so touching. I loved it.

When i first saw it, I could have sworn up & down that this was a real killed or be killed documentry, uncut. Well I'll point out that if he was never seen again its probably safe to say he died, though Fragment87 is right that was all staged. Though what I always thought was crazy about all the shoot out scenes was they had to use live rounds cause blanks don't exist in Afghanistan. If anyone wants the full scoop on the film rent or buy it and watch the behind the scenes, but even then its unclear if all the drama was staged or not thought the cave was staged. Seriously using live rounds is hardcore XD

Part of it is fiction and part of it is real. The 3 main characters are fiction and so are their stories, but people around the markets are real, so are some of the people they talk to - Hope it helps you understand! :)

yeah he drops the camera and just walks out..the taliban got him captured and there talking to what you think would be osoma bin hidin they said v"we got the american" then a bomb nails the cave..everybody runs..and then he fights his way out kills a couple guys and he lives

Det kaldes et Dokudrama :) Faktisk er flere af de medvirkende ægte personer, som ex. de dusørjægerere de møder. Folk på markedspladser mv. er også rigtige folk som er uvidende om det er skuespillere. De har ikke ville sige om nogle af de voldlige episoder eller skudepisoder er ægte, men de fleste hvis ikke alle, er højst sandsynlig uægte og indspillede :) God film!
