  • u need a camera that shoots at higher fps

  • OK ZACH. What you have to do is click the button that says (Enable Frame Blending with The Frame Blend Switch Set) this should be just above ur clip. Also make sure that ur clip is selected and you're shooting in 59.94 fps. Also. Set your frame rate on the twixtor effects controls itself to 59.94. Then click on the clip, go to layer and select pixel motion. This should give u a flawless twixtor. MESSAGE ME BACK IF U DONT GET IT ILL MAKE A TUTORIAL.

  • Not sure but I think it might be the color setting... mine are always blurry and crappy looking if I do it with a noised background.

    White > green

    You want White>White

  • see if your camera has some sort of higher frame rate setting, so put it on that, (should be around 120 frames per second at either 720p or 480 depending on camera quality) then while adding twixtor effects, makes sure you scale the frame rate up, so that your not only slowing down the footage, but that you are telling twixtor to generate frames in between your actual frames (this cuts down on distortion). try and keep an open background, like a wall or something. make sure theres good contrast

  • had the same fucking thing

  • the best help you will get is from this guy called leotownsend type in leotownsend and go to hes channel and watch hes twixtor video

  • when your on twixtor on ae go to 100 percent motion bg wieght and cut a and tick smart blend, this works well for me and other people i have told!

  • THAT SHITT FUCKTOP MY EYES O_O

  • what the fuck was that crap?

  • @oliver1797 you can't get sponsored skating flat ground, loading docks, or boxes/rails at your house

  • @PeaceLoveAndKrowly Have you ever seen an enminem video?

  • @CreditedBag I have, he doesn't deserve to be sponsored. There's so many other gnarlier dudes going out and street skating and getting good footage. He just sits in his garage and films on some little box. And yeah, he gets some street clips, but he films on six stairs. He's also only sponsored by a new company a friend owns.

  • @PeaceLoveAndKrowly well if I made a sponsor me, it wouldn't be in front of my house obviously. I'm not going to make a sponsor me though, because I have school and work nearly everyday. the last thing I need is some other commitment.

  • Twixtor looks really stupid in my opinion.

  • real ramondetta shiner 2 i see <3

  • BUY A BETTER CAMERA

  • @Notisp10 1600 dollar setup just isn't good enough?

  • @Notisp10 you're dumb as fuck

  • maybe a better program

  • Comment removed

  • all right so you take the clip and put it in the timeline. then you drag the composition into another composition nesting the clip. then you take twixtor and drag it on the screen with the second composition selected. then enable time remapping on the second comps clip. then ramp or slo mo regularly and you should be good to go

  • Just mess with settings and make sure there isn't a dramatic amount of movement between frames. Also, a clean background (one solid color or the sky, for example) helps a lot.

  • MOTION SENSITIVITY!! That's it xD

If you turn that down a bit, you won't get as much blending... If you turn it to 0, though, it will just be a normal slow-mo... so play around with it... hope I helped.

  • nothing to do with that xD

if you don't want that much warp, there's a slider, on the main "menu"... i think it says "warp quantity, or whatever... its on the end... i dont have it right now, but i'll try to search it...

  • try rendering exactly at 60fps not 59.94

  • You skate on Reals?

  • @TheFootOfGold hand me down deck. lol

  • @zach3493 Thats cool, I only skate Real and Krooked

  • @TheFootOfGold

    Reals aren't bad.

  • @tumitama1 I know they aren't that is why I said "I only skate Reals and Krookeds"

  • now that's trippy...

  • ask devinagy93, hes reallly good at the twixtor stuff. look at his vid, uses a T2i

  • all you have to do is look up in real life skating twixtor tutorials, and itll explain the rest for the smooth twixtor results. - jonathans friend

  • 60p is good but your gonna need to shoot at a really high shutter like 800 or 1250 so you dont have warping

  • Ive been using twixtor for a while now and it really all depends on your background. if you have a background with a ton of stuff in it with like different colors and stuff, it gets blurry like that. If you just have like a plain background, it will look way better. Plus, everyones first couple arent that great. You just have to keep playing with it

  • Shoot at 60p at shutter speed 800-1250

  • just turn down the pixelation warp. And your good.

  • ok you need the highest shutter speed possible for this, 60 fps is essential, i usually conform the frame rate to 30 or 24 in after effects find luke neummans tutorial is really good

  • nice tre!

  • Higher shutter speed

  • higher shutterrr speeeed

  • im not sure if this will solve the problem, but if you set for shutter speed for twice the amount of your fps (60fps= 1/125th) then you will reduce ghosting and rolling shutter

  • no 746

  • its just too much movement to handle for twixtor

  • looks good which program?

  • At 00:03 it looks like he underfliped the tre flip at the rotation.

  • nice tre btw :D

  • find a spot with good light and set the shutter speed to 1000 or more

  • in twixtor, dd you set the framerate to 60?

  • Try to film your whole body doing a tre flip like a long lens angle ... cause whenever I try to shoot zoomed in and twixtor it, it turns out like that but when I shot a huge bs 180 with the fisheye it turned out pretty good so I guess just try to zoom out of film it from distance

  • @SammieFilmz Or film it from distance *

  • i was goin to buy twixtor today...but fuck it :P

  • 312 veiwer?

  • @42marshall 1,312!

  • @42marshall 1,312, lol.

  • @42marshall nope

  • dope asssssss tre flips

  • i know, out of topic. what shoes are those?

  • you should put the original clip after next time

  • You cant slow down a whole tricks like that going very fast compared to a low frame rate your camera shoots, try to slow down only a part of the tricks it wont warp like this, or shoot at higher frame rate if you can. See my videos I did it with a shot at 120 fps, it worked well !!

  • my buddy kamk1231 makes tutorials on this shit

    hit him up

  • your so lazy, always letting ur front foot do the work

  • @UnitedSkatesOmerica alright first off, thats not even possible to let your front foot do all the work and second, stop hating on a good video, go watch somethin else if your going to hate

  • @paintballingfb dude i wasnt hating i fuckin love zach, that was called a joke.

  • @paintballingfb i was referring to an amazing front foot catch, so yeah?

  • @UnitedSkatesOmerica and also Zach has the most amazing tre's so dont hate

  • nice tre flip .thats a weird effect .is that one place u always skate at is called like sam ash or cicis or somethin like that i forgot lol ive passed by that one time like last week so i dont really rememeber

  • in after effects theres a thing called frame bending. make sure its off or on low that should fix it

  • thats something that just happens in twixtor if theres a lot of fast motion with a rich background, if you did that in front of a a blank green or white screen there will not be any warping, this is because twixtor creates pixels, which means pixels have to be cloned and if there is a confusing background, some pixels will clone to the wrong colour

  • That fucked with my eyes in the best way possible.

  • try exporting at 23.76 fps instead of 30, less warping

  • pre compose the clip then double clickk the clip and then add motion tile on to the clip and in the main comp thing it should just have the clip with perfect twixor. well thats what i do if it doesnt work check out bakerstuts and the reduce warping tut

  • higher shutter speed

  • This is so SICK for some reasion. LIKE,FAVORITE..

  • honestly, I thought the warping was cool as poop

  • turn down the motion blur

  • make sure you render and export it all at the same frame rate, always choose 59.94fps or what ever you use.

  • @MooseRawwr I did. I mean I watch a few tutorials, so I know most of the basics. I tried a clip the wasn't so speedy and it looked MUCH better. thanks to who ever gave me that tip. :)

  • @zach3493 you problem is not the way your doing it. Its the shot. Twixtor needs a super clear and defined subject to work perfectly. Its getting your dark board confused with the trees/grass

  • how much was your adobe after effects cs5?

  • adjust thee fps mann

  • Sexy, good to see twixtor outside of gaming montages. :D Good job

  • Did you set twixtor to 60 fps and export everything as 60fps?

  • @zach3493 What program did you use?

  • What frame rate do you record in? And try rendering with high fps, so if you're recording with 60 fps than try rendering in 60 fps.

  • @KadensKustoms I did

  • @zach3493 Did it look like this before you uploaded it?

  • wow thats crazy!

  • thats pretty trippy i watched it like 20 times haha

  • you cant do anything about it really , its either , get better fps to smooth everything or do move at all xD

twixtor doesnt make superslow motion , its just frame blending , thats the distorted bluriness you see.

  • hope that helped :D

  • 1. Keep your subject at a distance when shooting, the further the subject the more frames you have, the closer the subject the more distance from the frames.

    2. keep playing aroung with the key frames, not all shots can be twixtored, so keep trying

    3. shoot at a 4000 shutter, minimum of 2000.

  • - Make the clip much slower

    - Try to make the background as bland as possible

    ;D

  • Make sure you are rendering at 60 FPS or else it will do this.

  • @JxinTs lol, it was rendered at 60fps, well 59.94

  • @zach3493 The motion sensitivity might also be down, sometimes around 70% is the default. Changing it to 100% makes a world of difference to.

  • try turning your shutter down a bit

  • twixtor works best where there is the least amount of movement, otherwise you get warping

  • Twixtor is NOT meant for a clip like this, its meant for long, drastic clips. Like a melon on a ramp or something, something very slow already. Not a flip trick.

  • yikes haha

  • shutter slightly lower, helps with the motion blur

  • lol that looks so sick

  • @XwafflesXareXyummyX jhey your one of my subscribers! HELLO!

  • lol that looks so sick

  • JEEETTT LIIIFE

  • What is twixtor???

  • sickk
