i was looking at the military police fact sheet on the website and it saids under qualification requirements that u r required a community college diploma in Law and Security Administration, Police Foundations, or a similar program from a recognised Community College or CEGEP. i was wondering if we're allowed to get those diplomas from a regular college, or is it strictly accepting only community colleges? and is military police offered to full timers or part timers aswell?
@imnoobish One of the listed diplomas from any college is acceptable as long as the college is recognized by the Forces. If there is a particular college you are interested in attending and are wondering if it is recognized by the Forces, you may inquire with your local recruiting office. The role of military police is a full time position.
This is a possibility. Concerning operational deployments, the provisions of the policy on universality of service bind all members of the CF. The mission of the Department of National Defence and the CF is to defend Canada, its interests and its values, while contributing to international peace and security.
The principle of universality of service or "soldier first" principle holds that CF members are liable to perform general military duties and common defence and security duties, not just the duties of their military occupation or occupational specification. This may include, but is not limited to, the requirement to be physically fit, employable and deployable for general operational duties.
@CanadianArmyNews Is is optional if your in the reserves? And is it possible to join the MP's in grade 12? I am a Flight Sergeant in The Royal Canadian Air Cadets and I plan to join the MP's at some point. I am currently taking law next semester.
