Personally i just find it intersting that people of that time went to such measures to make something that lasts. Perhaps the emphasis shouldn't be on religion but on society and its earliest known structure. Religion always causes conflict, as does humanity, however maybe there is something more we can learn.

I'm not sure how they age stone carvings. The stone might be 12K yrs old but how can anyone tell how old a carving is?. Also if the Biblical account of the Flood is correct then if conditions were as described then C14 conditions could have indeed altered. Surely it cannot be just a coincidence that Gobleki Tepe is in the same region as the traditional resting place in the Araarat Mountain range?
