  • My dad was a welder at Sysco since the early 70s and can be seen at 4:02 in the video. He worked in the Blast Furnace, Open Hearth, Finishing Mill, and Rail Mill. He is still alive today, doing well. His name is Gerald McNeil, turning 67 today!

  • this is what happens when you buy made in China ...all the metal we use is crap now ....im a welder and i see it when im welding ...the quality isnt there at all ...people buy cheap ...you get cheap

  • Excellent, I've been waiting for years for this song to come on here. Recently my CD player stopped playing cd's so I haven't been able to listen to it. When I first heard this song it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Awesome song and story. I was rooting for this guy to be huge.

  • @zxertyhgfd agreed.. I got the live album out of the blue from my mom, I wore it out!

  • What an East Coast anthem.

  • My cousin is at 4:04, Kennith Dunn, and my great grandfather built the stacks to the steel plants-the highest paid High Rigger and man there. Many members of my family worked there, this song and video means a lot to me and my kin.

Go Whitney Pier and Cape Breton's steel workers.

  • This is another favorite of mine!

This version is slightly a slower - well done!
