i hate how nearly everyone, unless you're from the area, pronounces "Bathurst" as Bath-hurst. THERE IS ONLY ONE "H" SO ONLY USE IT ONCE!

I love this ad! I can play this over and over and still enjoy it. It displays that perfect mood and feeling I have when I drive my Mini.

I can't figure out what the narrator says in the first sentence: 'The Mini may not win at "beffest"...'?

The singer sounds like Mick Jagger, but he prob. is not. Any more info on the song would be welcome. Was it ever released as a longer version?

"The Mini may not win at BATHURST". That's an Australian racing circuit, the home of Australia's best-known motor race, and the one which the Mini in the clip is driving around. Minis won there in 1966.

The green mini is actually driving around the Bathurst track. Before they put concrete barriers to stop the cars going over the edge of the mountain.

@JBofBrisbane At the time I had never heard of Bathurst. I'm not native English or Australian, and I never had any interest in racing. So when you don't know, you can't understand.

Ha - was chased by the coppers in one of these (late 60's), over the then newish Taren Point Bridge, in Sydney's southern suburbs. Driven by me mate "Puffed Up" - so named 'cos he was a bit chubby. He got away from them too!
