Wang Hao is so powerful and consistent! Jun Mizutani was far from being riduculous though, leading in the 2nd and 3rd set. Jun has already beaten Hao Shuai and Ma Lin but I'm not sure if he has ever won against Wang Hao. it's worth checking out ^^

As amazing as Wang Hao played in this match, he still wasn't good enough to beat Ma Long in the finals. How is Liu Guoliang going to pick his two Olympic singles players??!! If he picks Ma Long and Wang Hao, he would have to leave out Zhang Jike. The only problem is that Zhang Jike is the world champion and we all saw what a beast he can be at that tournament.

@mlw22160 Liu Guoliang takes Wang Hao and Zhang Jike...you can read this for example on wikipedia (in germany)I don't know where you come from....but it's absolutely right to do this...because Zhang Jike was the world champion and thats reason enough (as you said)and wang hao was TWO times in the final...and lost it.....And when Wang Hao would win....another Penholder would be Olympic Champion and THAT would be great for the Table Tennis...and it would be great to show that Penhold isn't useless

Mizutani plays very very well... but Wang Hao is not human: he hasn't to choose power with risk or consistency with mediocrity, every shot is just powerfull and always consistent at the same time... just amazing...

Wan Hao shows "How to handle Jun's Lob". Back, Back, ..., Body (Jun hit a ball FH side of his blade, and tilt his body to BH side), then put a ball to Jun's FH side. That's all. This is similer to theory against chopper. I think Jun needs more BH counter attacking that Boll or Maze do.

Wang Hao has absolutely stepped a new level in his game, he is in great shape, and you can note it in his reflexes and overall game power & strategy, impressive, another thing I noticed, is that his forehand shots seem to be way faster than in other past games, is that he made a rubber change or some variation in his forehand topspin technique?, whatever it is, He is playing godlike...

if you look at 2005 mizutani vs baum, jun was more aggresiv with his bh. but now, he just defend with it. why?

@UsakoKirei he is just not comfortable with his backhand. At least not yet. He will never be a power player like the chinese but I think when he can vary the defensive blocking with more attacking he will be a very good player. But I think he is way to defensive at the moment.

@UsakoKirei umm i think the main reason is that Baum isn't Wang Hao.... Mizutani may have the time or the skill to go offensive against a player like Baum, but the chances to do that against a player like Wang Hao is significantly less.....
