  • I'm kinda glad Larry retired. He clearly was getting to old and sold out to the NWO.

  • Us made bombs were dropped, US companies made them explode, Us companies to rebuild what has been destroyed, US companies to come in and get something under Iraqis feet/land. who is winning here? fukc these greedy assholes.

  • what about now?

  • Two Questions. First, what is the status of General McChrystal's leadership in Afghanistan since this aired. Second, has the situation in Afghanistan changed. I think time has clearly proven the victor of this four-way debate.

  • this is insaneee.... i talked to this guy in barnes n noble and i didnt know who he was until i saw him in the news paper!

  • he's so smart he almost won the drug war as national drug czar-LOL.

  • We can finish this in a week , pull out , let the Taliban move back in from Pakistan and drop 1 bomb....A big one , then the rest of the world plays ball and relaxes...

  • Agreed pull out of there its a waste of time and resources. The enemy is to spread out and scattered all over in to many different countries its and intel and special operations war now we should have never occupied anyone.

  • we lost the second we set foo in afganistan

  • Semper Fi warrior is a freind, and is no enemy, he is a brother.

Regardless of the the opinions shared on what to do- We are Americans who should think and debate issues and process deep thoughtful talk.

Blessings to those who are willing to think and those who working out how to begin to think.

    Semper Fi -

  • To those who served We honor them

For all those decorated for uncommon Valor, We salute you

For pain and death, we grieve.

For him who died on the cross for the sins of the world we have no words to express.

I (Jake) is not anyone of these figures- I have no special awards. But I love our men and women who served.

I am working to help bring peace to a broken region.

I want to see the US become the great leader it once, by aiding those "who are the least of these"

    Thanks -Semper FI

  • You need to be more specific and say that by no special awards you mean no silver star, purple heart, CAR, or CMH

  • Obviously, neither one of you heard the stories I heard. Also, I probably have known Jake longer than either one of you. Unless, you went to ISU with Jake, then you have no clue. Telling another vet that you have a silver star, but can't produce one is a big deal. I can go on with stories, but like I said, I will not embarrass Jake. Thanks for pointing out my spelling error. I noticed it after the fact. What can I say? Haha!

  • @semperfiwarrior7 you are not jealous because he is famous and you are not are you?

  • Let Freedom Ring!! Let Democracy reign strong for this fine Republic. Let the voices of the people be heard and let the tyrants of oppression be put in jail. Bring Islamic Jihad to Justice, and let American shine.

Bring about a culture of peace and Just War Doctrine ad-hearers.

Bring about an end to the global war on terror, let humankind flourish. Let free markets reign, let the governed just capitalism free the people.

Bring the borders of this country to safety and bless this place.

  • Rethink Afghanistan! Great perspective!

  • I personally think he was a paper pusher for the Marine Corps and read about stories of great courage that many of our soldiers participated in. If you like Jake's propaganda, then you really need to research the person giving it. You too Larry! I have not seen one stitch of evidence proving that Jake was even there, even though I asked him several times to see either his metals or even photos.

  • lack of evidence is no evidence of lack

  • Can anyone tell me if they served with Jake? According to my incounter with Jake, I was told he earned a silver star and several other metals. I was also told several other stories that I don't believe. I won't share these stories because I won't embarrass Jake publicly. Well, not yet at least. Please make a comment on this page if you have served with Jake.

  • Semperfi, I go to school with Jake and I can assure you he served in the military. You really don't know what you're talking about (or how to spell).

  • haha afghanistan... did we forget about the troops in Iraq?

  • it seems so...

  • Jake was not in afghanistan

ask any of his former platoon members.

  • The military complex is behind the push for more intervention. They need the cash infusion of 'War Budgets'. Let's go back to the stance of 'for defense' military and not to a ' war mongering' strategy.

Fox News Advertisers: UPS, Cleveland Clinic, SERPRO

  • And this guy who keeps talking in the lower right hand corner pisses me off. "The likely hood will not get better if we leave" WHO GIVES A FUCK. FUCK THEM. Why don't we start out by trying to get this country back on it's feet and worry about creating jobs in this country.

  • Fuck Afghanistan. They don't want our help and i don't think we really want to help them. That country is at the point of no return. We can not help them.

  • Jake Diliberto was horrible to listen to. America doesn't support the troops.

  • The only one making any sense was Jake, thanks for your thoughtful comments. Afghanistan is a giant quagmire lets get out now......

  • It is all about the Military Industrial Complex. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Dwight Esienhower talked about it. All three were former presidents.

Diplomacy can be accomplished by no military involvement. Unless it is a last resource! Afghanistan has a corrupt government funded by a drug trade. Our CIA was involved, and soldiers are rumored to be involved with the drug trade. As a soldier myself I hope my commander in chief makes the right decision and not another Vietnam.

  • Jake is a hottie.

  • What people forget is that Obama promised to get out of both Iraq and Afghanistan, if he doesn't get out within this 4 year term like he promised he will not be re-elected by the same people who voted for him based on his campaign promises, he will look like the puppet every president of the US is, of course the military wants to keep fighting wars its what they are made to do however they should be creating stability in the middle east through infrastructure, not killing more people.

  • when did he promise to get out of Afghanistan? I heard him promise to INCREASE the troop strength on Afghan- that's the #1 reason I didn't vote for him.

    Have a nice day.

  • this is an occupation, not a war. whatever it is, we've already lost. bring them home now.

We should have learned from history that when you try to force western culture upon the people of Afghanistan, you will ultimately fail....Especially when our method is installing a corrupt dictator hated as much as Cheney.

  • And now, the Afhganistan president says he is striving for unity in the country....more time and money from the U.S.A.

  • wow cnn really is a big waste of time and Larry should just retire. There is really nothing to talk about here, the U.S invaded and destroyed bouth Afghanistan and Iraq and are now obligated by international law (not that anyone gives a shit about that these days) to make sure the population is safe.

You brake it you buy it.Have fun wasting taxmoney and lifes on two monumental misstakes.Invading nations to fight international terrorism... fucking retards.

  • Funny. Nobody asks what the Afghans want.. It´s all bullshit...

  • We lose if we bring our troops home? How does saving our troops lives equal losing?

  • they are all the same. a bunch of politicians who only care about there own careers

  • But none of that fucking matters because Mccrystal doesnt want those 40, 000 troops so he can secure functioning democracy in Afghanistan, he wants those troops so that the United States can establish a massive presence in Afghanistan for geopolitical reasons. Mainly to secure a corridor for a natural gas pipeline from Turkmenistan to India and also as a possible launching point in case of a war with Iran. Those are the facts, look at a map and its all pretty evident.

  • This is just a terrible panel. The one guy for rethinking Afghanistan is decent but the rest of these military guys are hammers, meaning they see everything as a nail. Al Qaeda and the Taliban are two different issues. The Diliberto guy was right on the button about that. He is also right that the Taliban issue is a massive clusterfuck with no military solution.

  • I'm so embarrassed that I voted for Obama.

  • don't feel bad. there was no-one else. they got rid of ron paul so there was no decent alternative

  • Frankly, I think the ruling class knew they were in trouble unless they provided some concessions to The People. So they gave us an intelligent guy who looks black and told us to appreciate it. And we did. Unfortunately, Obama still works for them and when they say "more war, more occupation, more torture, more destruction" he has no choice but to enforce more war, more occupation, more torture, more destruction. It's really sick. We need a new system of governance.

  • Word, Lockheed Martin and Blackwater need to keep profits climbin.

  • Jake kicked some tail!

  • What a bunch of loser and a bunch of shills, I feel sorry for the american public for allowing their leaders to make so many enemies, all due to the fact that the American Government implements leaders in foreign nations to then assassinate them or have them removed, and if they don't, they have WMD.!

  • I heard on another news reports is the existing infrastructure CANNOT handle more troops ATT. We can't send more troops without supporting logistics (housing, etc).

  • why can't anyone consider getting out before its too late winning?

and what is the difference between the election in iran and the one of afghanistan? the duplicitous international reaction to equally dubious results. karzai gets congratulatory phone calls. ahmedinijad gets more threats of bombing.

  • Its all the same man, in Iran the Islamic Clerics pick who gets to run for election, In Afghanistan the Tribal Warlords get to pick who gets to run for election, and in America the Financial Institutions get to pick who runs for election.. None of these countries are democratic. You gotta look hard to find real democracy these days.

  • Well said!

  • Al Quaeda thrives everywhere.

They dont need chaos to thrive, they just need an enemy to recruit people.

We became the enemy of the afghans not because of Al Queada but because we are there forcing things on them.

That is what Al Qaeda thrives on.

  • Nice to see people having a discussion on TV instead of two partizan hacks duking it out. CNN might be in last, but they aren't so bad!

  • Man, jake is a rottweiler

  • How man bathroom breaks does this man needs to take ?

  • Who's paying for these god-damned wars?

  • its where INFLATION goes to die.........hello

  • Us.

  • we've already lost...

  • We are fighting 2 unconstitutional wars with borrowed money from China. When they stop loaning us money, what are they going to fight with sling-shots? Bring the troops HOME!

  • Jake is right, this should be an issue of law enforcement and intelligence.

For Pete Hegseth to give the Karzia Government any legitimacy based on a rigged election is conducive with republican thinking. To acknowledge Karzia as a freely elected leader is slapping the face of the afghan people, which will do nothing short then swell the ranks of the Taliban.

  • Support karzai's governing squad of murderers? Why does the USA always support sociopath governments? Maybe it is because the USA leaders are Sociopaths themselves?

  • Why does get out have to be "we lose". We lose no matter what. Staying there only means wasting more money, creating more violence and hatred towards the United States, and deaths.

They're just trying to drag this out as long as possible.

  • Jake Diliberto needs to run for office. He understands the problem. Drives me crazy when people ignore that Islamic extremist are everywhere not only in Afghanistan. It's just a waste of resource to perform this backwards strategy.

  • Iraq ?

Its a frickin parking lot they don't even have electricity on a constant basis.

How does slaughtering civilians get people on your side ?

A small pebble could do a better job of US foreign policy.

  • Big Ups to BraveNewFilms always Representing the facts no doubt.
