Yo,im looking for Some DDR Games,Either for the Ps3 or Ps2! Its for my Anime Club anything Animish like Xepher or Japaneese :3 Pwease,I appreacite! Also a fan of Gorillaz! x3
How do you get roppongiEvolved? I've got Kimono Princess but Pluto the First is so hard I tryed doing it on cut mode which ships 'bout 75% but I guess they found that catch and every time I get a D! :(
Whoa, didn't see the rest of this list and what the hell, KAMIKAZE PRINCESS! With Pluto The First and the two megamixes, that's a foot killer. You would need a team to complete that.
@trudecepticon I've actually gotten as far as roppongiEvolved on that nonstop. The problem came about when it picked ver. C. I was REALLY hoping for ver. B on that as it's the easiest of the three to deal with. Otherwise, I MIGHT have made it through the two Hottest Parties.
The other big killer was having to do the whole nonstop at 1x because of Pluto The First...
@trudecepticon Just when you thought this was about as difficult as it was going to get, DDR II pulls a fast one with it's final course. Can you pass 888 and Valkyrie Dimension with 4 other 17's and up in one go? What's even worse is that one of the songs in there is a LONG version.
i hope there is a 4th ddr for the wii coming i am buying ddr3 on 29-08 and hp2 was lol to :P still working on finishing the game but i dont mind :P got all the songs and i am starting to learn my mother and grands mother how to play it (not my opinion but they need tot lose weight so maby helpfull )
i have DDR hotest parties 3, and where do u get the albums "hottest parties 1and 2", on the game, like in ur song list at 2:05? someone please tell me
omg Dynamite rave i may have to get it just for that song...what happened to all the old songs like End of the Century, Drop the Bomb, Paranoia, Hysteria? :(
To be honest, I didn't like this songlist. That's why I got X2. I liked some of the revivals and the X JP songs were good too. The only reason I'd buy this is for Brilliant2U, Celebrate Night and the Nonstop megamixes. I really wish X2 had the new Brilliant2U. Even though we got the stream special, the song itself is pretty bland. I love the new version.
Thing was for me, it was the opposite issue. I could care less for the revivals (especially those in previous US releases) and X JP songs. That goes triple for the Groove Radar Specials, especially that waste of space called Dead End GRS. The only real thing I would want to play X2 for is some of the challenge charts for the new KOs, but other than that X2 was a pass for me. When they did the license split, the PS2 essentially lost out on the better licenses and charts for the year.
Ah, I see. Even though I don't really like the Groove Radar Specials too much either, I just acted like they were the revivals and I proceeded to the Edit Mode to input the original charts. (Excluding Dead End and Dynamite Rave)
I don't really care for the licenses in both versions; I like japanese/non-vocal licenses better. Another bummer with HP3 was no edit mode. I strive for edit mode. I'll stick with HP1, as HP2 and HP3 don't look so appealing.
@blueapple128 Funny, because now that I've actually messed around with most of the PS2 releases, X2 is a definite pass now. Edit mode is interesting for all of 5 minutes before you realize how limited it is. The games DO NOT save on their own after playing a song. The way DDRX1 and 2 run, it's like they've got the PS2 on life support, as the earlier PS2 games ran much better. That fancy 3D stuff took it's toll. ONLY X and X2 run in 480p, and even then there's no widescreen support.
Completing all of Tournament Mode (including Challenge mode) unlocks all songs except three.
Which 3 you leave out is your choice (The game gives you 4 songs, 1 of which is a boss song, and you pick 3 to play and unlock. The 4th one is not unlocked.)
These last three can be unlocked by getting enough DDR Points, unless they are boss songs, in which they can be unlocked by beating a CPU Dance Battle, which shows up after getting three A's or higher in a row on Free Play Mode on at least Basic.
I'm glad that HP3 didn't include the challenge chart for Pluto The First because as your comment says, it does destroy people hard. The challenge chart (or should I say the shock arrow chart on X2) really destroys you faster, my opinion. I knew they would have made it harder, didn't expect shock arrows.
Don't fuck with the gimmick chart then. Missing a sudden arrow brings it about to the level of the shock arrow chart. That's not even taking into account having to read double stomp streams.
Keep On Movin' was around LONG before Extreme US. I think it originally came from 3rd mix arcade. The version of Keep On Movin' here is a revocalized version of Keep On Movin' DMX Mix made for DDR Furu Furu Party early this year.
I miss all the ps2 ddr songs :( Can you tell me which HP has the most techno/ konami original songs? HP 1, 2, or 3? I really want to know because i want to ask for this for Christmas. Thanks.
I can't imagine what's wrong because if I turn them on, they're ON. Balance Board and Hyper Move Mode don't have gimmicks irregardless of whether you turn them on or not, but Free Play does.
The only other thing I can think of is that you don't have them unlocked yet, but that's a stretch.
I've noticed Gimmicks don't actually show up as much in the charts this time around as they did in HP2. HP2 was MUCH harder with gimmicks because on top of that you also had mandatory hands requirements for AAAs on there.
A good HP3 example is Let's Get It Started. Only ONE section has the foot confuser gimmick and it's the "Everybody, Let's Get Into It, Get's Stupid" section. The rest of it is exactly the same as playing with no gimmicks.
Sacred Oath is the tamest song on Kamikaze Princess. 3 boss songs back to back to back, one in which you don't know what chart it'll pick, and then ANOTHER 10 minutes of stepping afterward with HP1 and 2 megamixes, both which end with 10 foot sections. Considering that this is forced 1x because of Pluto The First, this looks WAY harder than the hardest course was on HP2. I could still at least 1.5 that and get away with it. Part of me is actually crazy enough to want to see how far I get.
wait so ur telling me that the previous 2 hottest party games are already in the third, three games in one...WTF!!!! waste of my money buying the 2nd the first time around...once I get this, ddr hp2 is going to gamestop -_- (unless Im wrong and there isnt 3 games in 1, some one plz explain b4 I do something stupid)
The HP1 and HP2 selections are nonstop megamixes of select KOs from both titles. They both run about 5 minutes, are rated 10, and have over 1,000 steps each. Think DDRX X-Mixes, except HP1 and 2 themed and you'll get the idea behind it.
X2 only got 15 out of 30 license songs. However, it gets revival songs, including all Groove Radar Specials, and the JP DDRX CS content. Pluto The First, True Love CTCM, and Keep on Movin are the Wii implants that it got. Shares the remaining KO's with HP3.
HP3 gets all 30 license songs in place of the revivals. Also gains the FFP Brilliant 2U and Celebrate Night to go along with the three Wii implants. Paradise, Now's The Time, and Be With You are new KO's exclusive to HP3 as well.
do you own HP1 & 2? I wish konami would come out with a Wii DDR that had all the original techno songs on them. I dont like playing the "new" tracks.
I've heard HP1 has better songs than HP2. What would you say? Can you import your song list from HP1 onto HP3? I've only seen it ask to import songs from HP2.
So if I already have HP3, and want more techno-y songs what would you recommend? HP1 or 2?
go into the options in the game, and click on user support. It will load your save data from HP2, including songs, gear, stages. That's what it says. I can't try it myself since I do not have HP1 or 2. But I thought I read somewhere that it does work. Try it and let me know! haha

For me, X2 and HP3's upsides and downsides exactly cancel each other out.
X2: Has Groove Radar Specials (I actually like them), doubles, challenge, and edit mode. Lacks good graphics, gimmicks, and hand markers.
HP3: Has gimmicks, HP1/HP2 megamixes, Rick Roll, and better graphics. Lacks challenge, doubles, and edit mode.
The only reason I got HP3 over X2 is because I don't have a PS2. =P If I had one, I'd probably get both of them.
