Unfortunately, the mall is mostly deserted now. I am not sure if you can even take the scenic elevators anymore, although the express elevators are still open. The top food court has some nice views of Michigan Avenue.
I think the fixtures were custom otis maybee as the alarm button said "emergency call" which is pertty much otis exclusive. I rode those elevators back in 1992. The water tower was pertty cool!!
Hmm, this place look bit like Michigan Avenue mall to me. The mall I was talking about was at Water Tower Place and you could go there since they got nicest elevators there.
Sweet! King of Prussia Mall use have glass door on the Pavilion Schindler Elevator, but for some unknown reason, they're removed and replaced with conventional door in either 2006 or 2007.
Can you still visit the 8th floor in that mall? I loved the food court, complete with a fountain/canal system.

Omg If you drive south. If get off route 30. And head east. You will head toward Westfield Southlake Mall.

I almost went to water tower place, but I did not have enough time.

Oh man you missed some beautiful elevators then. I've been on these as well. Nice aren't they?

All right. Have fun.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
Yeah - there were 2 towers, each with 6 central elevators, in addition to 8 other ones.
musicfreakcc 3 years ago
Yes, since EPCO really specializes in custom fixtures a lot.

My hotel was full of them - video coming. (36 floors)

Those are really nice elevators, and it's interesting to see vandal resistant square buttons, instead of the typical round ones.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
Those could be custom-made, given how upscale the mall is.
musicfreakcc 3 years ago
Hey, isn't that at Michigan Avenue Mall?
KWolfM 3 years ago
They call it "Chicago Place." It is off of Michigan Ave, though.

I was short on time when I went.

How many floors does this mall have?
Kidsongs1245 3 years ago
That mall has 8, but is connected to a 45-floor apartment complex.
