@SunnyShineGirl14 Yes, that is one way to teach this. Notice when Emily clicks. The treat above the head is a lure that you must fade out rather quickly to not get stuck with having to use your hand like that in order to get the dog to do the trick. First you use a treat like Emily is doing in this vid. Then only your hand (but the dog will get a treat anyway of course!) and then, depending on how fast your dog "gets it", you start to fade the hand completely and adding a cue.
Emily always inspires me to get the clicker out. She must of touched more dogs lives than she could imagine. Thanks for sharing the video, I never thought of teaching my dogs to prance. One out of 4 will enjoy it for sure.
Awesome. I would love to work on this. It makes so much sense how it would be cruel to do this with a dog for so long who hasn't built their muscles yet. Makes so much sense. I wanted to ask you if she told you what to do next, like when to fade the hand and how to.
@TheWigglebutt Hmm, I don't know if she told me, actually, hahaha. =P I went a little blank when filming... Haha, stupid. But I know my dog pretty well, so it's usually not so hard to know when I can fade lures with him. He's so smart...
AWE loke is so cute. heheheh thought of a good cue for this for the holiday. Whats your favourite raindeer. Hehe than he prances

I have a naturally prancy 7 mo. old Airedale, I will work on capturing it! It's the most adorable bouncy trot.
