@shinpodippy Wilhelm Bittrich was an officer in the SS. he joined Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler in 1937 and then took command of Das Reich later II. SS-Panzerkorps (Hohenstaufen & Frundsberg Divisions) This is a fine example of an innocent SS officer. He behaved integrity and chivalry throughout the war. On many attempts he went on trial but unable to find any evidence to prosecute him. There are no doubt many more officers who were like Bittirich.
