@L2DG I questioned that myself. But I think and I heard it was all politics and the finale was taylor made for Jordan to win, whe was more marketable. Blake was on the other hand was more talented but appealed to a lesser market and he sings more of an R&B style with some hip-hop flare with the beatboxing. Idol has gotten burned or not as succesful with some of the previous winners that were of that genre of music ie. Ruben, Taylor, Fantasia.

Simon was absolutely right about this guy. He is a great showmen no question. However, his vocal skills are not really amazing and most of his performance is just him being over the top. He reminds me of the four times the steak guy in the taco bell commercials.
I think Blake made it all the way to the top 2 because in every round, he was never the best contestant, but he was never the worst either. This caused him not to get eliminated through out the competition.
@xxY2JLEDGENDKILLERxx being a performer requires more than just singing. it's both. he has a stronger voice than some of the more popular "mainstream" artists on the radio. but he does stuff that's not always popular with the crowd. and his record sales were low because the album itself was overall mediocre. not because of his voice.
id rather watch Blake Lewis perform live (which is where he makes his money), then watch jordin sparks perform.
