  • AWW nick before Karmin :D

  • I hope you'll allow me to offer an audio tip. Your vid sounds as though it was mixed using headphones/buds. Never use them for final mixes because they will fool your brain (I have made the same mistake). Headphone mixes don't translate to speaker mixes HOWEVER speaker mixes playback "anywhere". Always mix for the "real world", meaning, use average-size speakers at a medium volume level. Computer speakers work well. Mix in an average room w/ few sound reflections. Nice images, good work, tho!

  • Man I loved that. Your work is really great.

  • hey.. nice concept.. you have really done a brilliant job.. it was seamless!!

  • I thought u were going to go with a Sixth Sense-esque twist at the end. Good work all the same. Liked everything about it.

  • 12 minutes of my life i'll never get back.

i typed in: how to upload a video off final cut pro to youtube and i got this moist fart to the face?!?!?!?

oh btw all 26 students did an outstanding job... not.... just so you know, my friends and I at Prissy Crissy Productions can do 100 times better than your entire cast and crew...

and this for everyone, including anyone who has commented in a positive way on this video, you can go suck chode....

  • As a media student doing film I know how difficult it can be to fully complete a project like this from start to finish so firstly I'd like to congratulate you. I enjoyed it and thought that the idea was really fleshed out quite well, I wish you the best of luck in future productions :)

  • Hey man!

The movie, the script and the main character are fantastic. I think that the conflict expressed by the character is very commom between people who suffered the same problems. While I was watching your video I could see a situation that happened with a friend many years ago and I have to say to you that I became touched by the end of your movie. I Think you will be very successful in the movie maker profession if you make more movies like this. I liked it a lot. Congrats.

    Best wishes.

  • a masterpiece BRAVO!

  • haha, your the firsr video i have added to my favorites. I love that you made something personal. Was this based on something that really happened? The story was a bit off but the message was still there. ^_^ Dude who did the camera shots cause they were very fluid, seamless even. Im sure this project took a lot of time.

  • I shot it, myself. Glad you enjoyed it.

  • Overall the message got through but you could have elaborated. Love the camera angles, it seems flawless. Great job man. ^_^

  • you're so cute! I was blown away at how well done it was, especially for a high school project.

  • technically well done, subject matter is very trite.

  • Beautifully filmed, lovely story

  • awesome

  • That was Moving!

  • Thxs! a sad story!

  • I was fucking moved by this.

  • was pretty good. story could've been a bit better though.

  • Dude, i was just thinking about how funny it would have been if he had gotten a paper cut and just bled to death

  • yes!!! hahahah

  • Good Job!!

  • Wow this was good. Keep up the great work.

  • Loved it! I´m your greatest fan now...

I might even use this video with some of my students (English students - elemntary), if you don´t mind.

  • Thank you for making this :)

  • pay it forward.

  • watch out! that repitetion can be a bitch bro.

  • This was cool.. i enjoyed it

  • wow very impressive!!!<3

  • Wow, way to go! I really liked this movie, it'd be really nice if there were more people like Erik in real life. The movie sorta reminded me of Pay it Forward at the end.

  • WHAT!!!!!!!

HOW CAN YOU UPLOAD 10 MIN+ OF VIDEO BUT I CANT?

    o...well

  • director account

  • Great job!!! Just cause you get better (in your opinion), doesn't mean you're not good to start with!

  • Good story.

  • great! I cant wait for next week :)

  • Niiice. Good storyline. Great camera angles, solid editing, appropriate music, well balanced narration/dialog. Excellent work my friend. Looking forward to future work.

  • nice work, a little drawn out for the 'learning bit'

  • I wonder how many people can do what you did here, whatever the comments negatively, I can appreciate the time, talent and effort that one puts into these films.

A lesson for the future, if you haven't done it yet, then stop before you post a negative comment unless you can do better or have.

Greatness comes in little steps forward.

And they who think they can do better, then step up and produce something just as good or better.

  • Damn, Great video, music, writing, photography, directing, ... Best Video on YouTube! I wonder if this is how Steven Spielberg started.

  • Ok, I like what you're doing here. Showing people that you can make a good quality film with inexpensive equipment. The score was powerful @ times, you're great at writing music. I didn't really like the storyline but the editing was smooth and you had some nice camera angles.

i look forward to the next segment!

  • I like how you showed he was dead through making the wheel stop spinning.

  • Very Good!

  • good stuff

  • I love the narration at the beginning. :D

    Gorgeous score.

  • The camera angles were awesome. And, good choice in music. Great Job. Are you going to film school?

  • great music!...though i think it was a bit loud in relation to the narration at points. great cinematography!

  • Phenomenal score, with an inspirational story. Liked the septuple bit... sounded like something crazy I would write!

  • Not your best. The spinning bicycle wheel imagery was ham handed. The moment I saw the wheel spinning the first time when Eric put his bike on the rack I instantly knew he was going to die and we would see that image again at his death. Also without the narrator explaining to me what it was that Eric really wanted I would never have pieced it together, therefore everything other than the narrator's tale is unnecessary and non-contributory. Nice music though. And I think the acting was natural.

  • now if only i had a sony handycam...

    heh, nice work.

  • The music you use in your films is absolutely amazing. is there a specific source, musician, etc that you use? I am a beginner filmmaker and music is one of the hardest parts for me to get... partially because my music library is pretty much a barren wasteland. so if you have any suggestions, let me know! thanks.

  • He actually composes a lot of his own music, though I don't know if he did in this one.

  • I thought it was good and inspiring, deff. Since I just got a sony handycam to film short movies myself O.o

  • man i enjoy watching your films a lot, thanks for sharing them! aim high, ull get high

  • wow, im so touched. thanks for posting this vid.

  • Cool! The narration was a bit stilted but the look & score were great. Thanks for posting this :D

  • Is the score original?

  • the narration is kinda weak but the score was amazing.

  • very good. interesting to see wat u made wen u were my age.

  • WOW THAT WAS INCREDIBLE... the background music really added to the video...you guys to a great job overall

  • Fantastically done! Good Work..

  • Very interesting movie. I see what you mean about having a good narrative first.

  • wow this was beautiful...everything about it. the scene transitions, the camera angles, the musical score, the cast (&& mat i say that nick noonan is extremely good looking)

  • all this film needs now is a hardcore sex scene between two migits and a donkey

  • O.O

    That was cool

  • that was pretty good,

the editing and music and stuff in particular

  • This is really good!

  • amazing. the musical score was very moving and fit perfectly. by any chance could you send it to me?

  • Well done.

    Jeremy

  • i really enjoyed this. can't wait to see more!!

  • extremely well done!! excellent short.

  • nice :)

  • Wow, this was actually really interesting, and I hope you make a lot more of these types of films :)

  • It was actually very good, Matt! Don't be so hard on yourself. (c:

  • Really well filmed, especially for a junior high student. Impressive. Can't wait for the rest. The narration could have been sped up just a tad.

  • I agree that the story is a little off, but the film making and the music was wonderful.

  • very touching story indeed.

  • It was very well done. You kept the tension and peace throughout the movie, I enjoyed it very much . :)

  • enjoyed watch it can't wait to see more

  • it was incredibly well done, but kind of corny.

  • Really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to seeing more.

  • I have never seen the movie you "ripped off" But I thought that was great, the story didn't seem bad, will there be a sequel? I loved the cinematography BRAVO

  • I like how you cut the scenes together, great footage and music that fits. The story was a bit lacking but quite ok. Reminded me of pay it forward too.

  • Matt, this is a compelling film! I expect to see your name on some BIG films one day soon! Excellent! Peace.

  • It was still great!

    That was awesome:)

    Good job!

  • bem legal !

    parabéns !

  • You made this in high school? Pretty impressive if you ask me. But as a musician, what impressed me most was the score. It's actually pretty hard to make a score that fits perfectly with the content of the video. Good work :)

  • always enjoy the directon..editing...visual content..the story could be better developed...even for a student project....

  • Not bad, the end kind of reminded me of pay it forward.

  • I agree with what you said in the video description. The story could've been better. But, I did enjoy it. Makes me wish I had someone during my school years randomly offer to help.

  • awesome!!!

    GW

  • This movie does look nice, but the language is stilted, the background music too loud, the plot too simplified...now if the unmentionable secret had been that Eric was gay, that would probably have been too controversial...but much more interesting.

  • Certainly wouldn't've been too much of a stretch with some of the lines.

  • Wait, um, I didn't see the clam dip scene. I must have just missed it. I mean, it's not like you would have cut out such an important, moving, scene. :)

  • Yeah...I uh...I had to edit it out to fit youtube's time...constraints....it'll be on the DVD release......really.

  • Well, that's a relief. it's too bad, though, I shall write to YouTube about these time constraints. I'd hate for people to miss out on other things, like my star performance if you ever end up posting Bigfoot Project.

  • The correct use of singular indefinite pronouns. It's a nice way to combine mystery with the mundane.

  • I'm calling bullshit. There are at least 4 movies before this one, that I can think of. One's already been posted, but where are McKinley, LSD and Bigfoot?

  • If I had 'em, they'd go up. There may be a few non-chronological posts when I get home.

  • That was absolutely amazing! Well done.

  • wow... great film!!

  • OMG....hehehe....pretty good...

  • OMG....first....BWAHAHAH...lolzz...'despite his condition...Eric rode his bike to school everyday..' HAHAHAHA

  • yeah, seriously. What a trooper!

Whenever I'm feeling too full of myself, I watch this movie.

  • P.S. i love how Eric says at 3:56 "...so fluid...that the reader DON'T even think about it" ...i'm a modern day Eric and it really should be "...so fluid...that the reader DOESN'T even think about it"....AHAHAHAHHA....i'm such a loser...HAHAHHA

  • Actually, he says "won't." The real kicker is at 4:19, when he talks about Thomas's paper. "The previous paragraph is about the door, and now you're talking about the hallway." What kind of ultra-boring paper is this poor kid writing? Doors and Hallways? No wonder he has trouble.

  • AHHAHAHA...yeah you're right actually, just watched it the 2nd time....hallways and doors...exciting...HAHAHHA...no really....
