gotta give it to jimbo... if anything ever proves that morrison wasnt going to be restrained after 4 years of blazing a trail thru culture & having both internal/external forces on his heels, this song is a testament to it. physically, he might as well been 45 here. You can hear the weight, strain & grind in the voice that his life had brought him to by '71. but what clearly overrides it, is the intensity to be free pouring out of his spirit... the dude clearly didnt go gently into that night.

The Doors were a one of a kind!No other band could even come close to the vibes they put out.Robbie Krieger was vastly underrated as a guitarist.This band deserves to be up there in the upper echelon with Hendrix.They meshed together so well,Jim was devastated after the charges against him after that concert in Miami.I think that song,Hycianth House told it all.The Beatles and Stones were excellent but the Doors were in a class of all their own.
