He is very talented, and has a great fastball. However, in the clutch, he is one of the worst ever. I am an Orioles fan, and he choked so many times in big games!

The most painful moment I can remember was in the 2nd Game of the ALCS vs. Cleveland in 1997. The Orioles were the best team in baseball that year, and were up 1-0 in the series. They were up by 1-run in the Bottom of the 8th Inning of the 2nd Game. There was a man on base, and Armando was facing Manny Ramirez, I believe. Armando's only great pitch is the fastball, and he decides to throw a change-up. Ramirez takes full advantage, hits a home run, and the Indians win the game.

So, instead of being up 2-0 in the series, the series was tied 1-1. And Cleveland got the momentum after that game. They ended up winning the ALCS in 6 games. Ironically, it was Benitez who gave up the game winning homer in extra innings in the 6th game.
