If you like music in spanish, I would like to suggest you to listen a spanish singer from the 70's, her showname was Cecilia (real name Evangelina Sobredo), she made only 3 official records because she died young, but she is regarded as one of the best songwriters and singers of that time in Spain, maybe you will like any of her songs.

Como dijeron por ahi, esta cancion no es una cancion politica, fue escrita por silvio en una de sus fases mas proliferas e inspiradas, cuando andubo de pesca durante 1 o 2 aÑos en un barco de la flota cubana de pesca llamado: Playa giron, se dice q hizo al rededor de 60 canciones en esta fase de su vida, de hecho salio un libro llamado Canciones del mar que fueron todas las canciones que se hicieron en ese barco en el 69.

A manera de comentario: "Playa Girón" la dedicó Silvio en parte a los sucesos de 1961, pero mezclándolos con las vivencias que tuvo trabajando entre 1969 y 1970 en un barco pesquero del mismo nombre: "Playa Girón". La letra es, de alguna manera, un juego de palabras. :)
