  • 0:27 mute and she look like she's saying "you want to rape my ass" XD!!

  • DID U SEE THAT CAKE!!! OMG!

  • 1:00 DOUBLE DOLPHIN HANDS!

  • And I'm typically fond of British accents.

  • Dub whatever you want, but don't generalize people's way of speaking "awful" or "impossible to understand". Any dialect that isn't your first can be difficult to comprehend but none is better than any other. That's just ignorant and arrogant. I happen to find these accents rather unattractive, didn't think it was a serious dub at first. =\

  • I can't really understand them....

  • Definately the best version. This song is addictive. xD

  • The uk version is better, you can understand them better.

  • @Alexispink16 I completely agree with you. I accidentally found the other one and was like- wtf are they saying? haha It was like I had to tune into them. hehe

  • Is it just me or are the puppet's voices really weird? :P

  • yess the UK version in the BEST

  • Comment removed

  • MUST ... STOP ... WATCHING!

  • I'm careful, cunt - you see?

  • @JimmyBobMcGraw oi, he says the word "can't" in the CORRECT way. *angry*

  • So they needed to dub this in the Queens English with a smidge of Chav?

  • @cesariojpn not chav, but yes the British English is better and more accurate and we have a right to dub it since the English language originated from Britain any way :P

  • @WykdCrzy he's making reference to the baking nigger! lol (Im not really racitst ^^;)

  • change all the voices except for Stephine's

  • No accent is, 'better', than another. They only change it for different markets, because they feel it will appeal more to the consumers if they do. It's only a kids' show, people.

  • The same idea that applies to both kid shows and adult shows is lil girl with pink hair :D

  • lol the nigga puppet sounds like a white british XD

  • They dubbed the English song into english, and still used an American accent for the chorus...

    Waste of time? :D

  • @SunshineTheHedgehog You got the Harry Potter books translated into American so that you could *understand* them and we got programmes like these translated into British English so that we could *understand*. Not being funny but the American one is so awful, that I'm surprised the Americans can understand it.

  • @thefartydoctor I'm British.

  • @SunshineTheHedgehog So? It doesn't mean that the comment can't be used to others... it's just my opinion on the matter. Why should British kids have to try to decipher those awful accents? Stephanie's isn't so difficult...

  • @thefartydoctor I've had to decipher 'awful accents' for my whole childhood. D:

  • ........Wow....e.e....

  • I'm American and I absolutely love British accents; they sound very... posh and crisp. But saying Americans pronounce everything wrong or that American English is a cheap version is insulting. We cannot help it if we developed a different way of saying things. Were we supposed to keep our original British accents despite living across an ocean for over 200 years?

  • @LovelyLilyBerry Actually Brits are the ones who speak bad English!

  • English UK is only used to emphasize their accent.

The British do not want the "bastardized" American accents of English.

  • i like this song very, but the cake is a fake! xD

  • ROFL

I thought this was going to be a joke or something.

  • Even in the uk the cake is a lie.

  • American version is always the best this is just another proof.

  • How does candy taste A TREAT? Grammar error.

  • It was necessary, the American english is not correct. The American people pronounce everything wrong... british english is the REAL english just as the spanish from spain is the real spanish...everything else are just cheap versions.

  • @seploud cheap versions? No, they are just versions, changed by the region in which they live. I like British accent better, but none version is better in general, just in personal opinion, if you go around saying ''a cheap version'' makes you look like and american idiot.

  • @seploud Go jump off a bridge faggot!

  • The puppets somehow sound better British. And the word dandy in the American version is daft, I've never heard an American say dandy, it's a typically British word. This version pwns :D

  • That Ziggy chap sounds like a true pauper.

  • Comment removed

  • of course it needed to be re-dubbed in english, we have enough american influence on our generation anyway :P

  • None of these can beat the original. These dubs just sound strange in parts. I know part of the french version sounded strained and in this one the muppet voices are just odd.

  • "Nigga bake!" XD XD XD i laughed so hard when i realized that XD

  • i love their accent.

  • @ILuvPaulMcCartney666 Yay, an american who likes british accents. (im british)

    ..I say!! :D

  • Is that Sakura's sister?

  • Even if they were forced to redub it so it doesn't I dunno, confuse some british kids, they could have at least changed the girl's voice. They're goes 500 bucks down the toilet for making no frickin diffrence!

  • @WykdCrzy It doez! 0:51

  • @Wykdcrzy it does!

  • Waaaaankers!

  • those blue nails :|

  • Pick a good accent at least.... like Sir Ian Mckellens, Patric Stewart, a little class. this sound like they have their mouths filled with Porridge.

  • I would rape her.

  • I love Stephanie.

  • THE CAKE IS A LIE!

  • pretty useless to dub this in british english, but the voices of the puppets are so much better. in the us version , they have those squeaky, high pitched voices -.-

  • its stupid 'cause they kept Stephanie's voice but changed the rest -.-

  • Did they really redub the American voices? lol

  • lv this version the ouppets sound sooo much betta but thn again when i was little ths is the version i used to watch :D

  • The backround voices with stephanie are better in this version :) GO UK!!

  • luv the uk version soo much better cuz i live in uk!!!

  • OH BUT OFC. they did voice-over the muppets, but the girl is still in the original voice ¬-¬

  • i prefer this version the voices sound so much better.the other version the voices sound all the same and so shit. uk rules!

  • the best song I have heard in a long time my good friends. :)

  • The cake is a lie...

  • 0:38 Fuck Yeah!

  • I've never understood the need to dub it when it's only for the accent... I mean from language to language, sure.... but why accent wise?

XD maybe we should start dubbing the UK shows that come over to the US! *cough* Noddy and Thomas are up first... *cough

  • In the US UK programs have been regularly redubbed, e.g. BBC nature documentaries by Discovery Channel (Sigourney Weaver* instead of David Attenborough, original plans were for Robert Redford). Those responsible claim that either USians don't understand British (we are talking about BBC English here not Birmingham!!!) or dislike it so much that it would significantly reduce the viewership.

*Nothing against SW (a clear favorite of mine), just the reason sucks.

  • oh dear.. how horrid...

  • Wtf are you guys talking about, this is way worse than the original.

  • The American one sucks compared to this. I'd watch this just for the accents.

  • OMG I love Stingy's dance at 0:30 xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD It's pretty cool xDDDD

  • haha, I love the american and british one :) But I live in London, so this si the version I hear :D lol! Stingy sounds better british though ;) lol xx

  • That's stupid... why would they redub a few characters in UK English? We don't even use different words in this song! I mean I would understand if we said sneakers instead of trainers or something, but this is just plain dumb.

  • he says sweets instead of candy lol

  • This needs to be slowed down for more awesome.

  • Haul powll on tha sweats, iss sush a pretty site, it makes da food taste trate but tummy hurse all night

  • @andrewvanrhoberts

Inorite? Who the hell says sweets instead of candy?

  • @Jugglesama Who the hell says candy instead of sweets? Oh yeah, Yanks.

  • @thepod96 canadians

  • that's a weird video. :o

  • Was it REALLY needed to redub it in ENGLISH?

  • @lovelythots You redub our stuff, we'll redub yours.

  • @lovelythots yeah cause it sounds better in English UK. haha xD to us, anyway.

  • @lovelythots well Americans do it to our shows :p

  • @lovelythots yes! SHARE THE AWESOMENESS!

  • @lovelythots Thay cant speak "English" but "ENGLISH"...

  • nigga bake at 51 seconds.

  • hold it! lazy town is american or british?

  • It was made in iceland

  • of course this is the best version ♪♪♪

  • Of course not.

  • What's worrying is that Lazy Town is easily the best kids TV show in AGES, I mean lok at it! The British version is infinately better than the British one, I can watch it without my ears bleeding.

It's creepy how bad this is and yet I'd rather my siblings were watching this then shit like Mr Maker, and despite loving the shape charecters from that show, I think if saw them when I was 6, they would give me nightmares.

  • The British version is infinitely better than the British one?? lol

  • Argh, meant infinitely better than the American one, lol.

  • I wonder why they did'nt change the pink haired one..

  • This is much better, in my opinon.

In the american version, the fat kid sounds so whiney and anonying, he sounds alright here.

In the yank version, the black guy sounds like a robot with no personality at all, at least here they made him sound like a proper brit!

The Brown haired bloke still sounds like a generic posh woman (Which scares me...), UK or otherwise.

I'm british, By the way :D

  • i love you

  • Was it necessary to fucking dub them in british accents? I think british kids understand whats going on.

  • @MonkeyOctober I think it's a case of the fact that in recent years budgets for UK kids programming has gone down. As well as that we need our kids to grow up on UK culture not US culture... this is the UK after all.

  • I find the american voices for the puppets really winy, at least with the UK they sound slightly normal. and yes the BBC are a bunch of fags and everything has to be politically correct.

  • lool uk version only alters the puppet voices xD its still julliana rose mauriello doing seph well i agree british accents are annoying -.-

  • strange

  • the black boy is the best.

  • that was pixel

  • sounds like shit >.>

  • XD Her voice mever changed!!! That's like....I don't know!! It just caught me off guard!!

  • why would they need to overdub it w/ british voice actors if the show was originally in english? O.o

  • probably so that uk kids dont start speaking like the us no offence im just being serious.

  • Probably because the people who work in British television are massive faggots.

  • 0:20 - I'm careful, cunt, you see!

    Lawl

  • lolololol xD

  • what was it before? american?

  • I watched it every day

    I really like it

  • Oh god. I usually defend the British to whatever end, but...this...THIS IS MAKING MY EARS BLLEED!!!

  • this version makes me lol my ass off into next week

  • randomrambo thats just racist say the N********* thingy you wouldnt like it if you got calld it would you? and plus my sister loves this song She IS 3 gonna laugh at her?

  • AHHAHA THE BLACK KID with the uk accent is hilarious

  • 0:40 we got to have it laid

  • Comment removed

  • i cried laughing b4 they even sang anything!

    ROFL

  • then youll have a cake now you now i got to have it made so i can plow it down my mouth

  • I kind of like this song.....

    -blush- >.>

  • i come from sweden i like the UK talk its so nice im not gay but i like it XD

  • NIGGA BAKE!!!!

  • schtefani ich kokema lejsitaum en kompjuta ichkokema von miranda

  • I like the UK version better then all the others :P Love the puppets accents! (I'm careful can't you see?) xD

  • I LOVE IT XD check the puppet at 1:00 :D

  • Addition: Probably the UK dubbers got the tapes direct from Iceland.

  • Original is English nubcake

  • LazyTown is Icelandic... (although featuring a cast from Iceland, USA, and UK) The original language is not english... So, the US and the UK have done different dubs. Trixie's voice actress [I think she's the puppeeter too] in Icelandic also provides the voice of Stingy in the UK dub. ^^

  • nooo, the original language is English. The lips are in line.

They dub it into Icelandish. The reason for this is because the program is funded in part by Nick Jr.

  • Lazy Town is icelandic, but the official language is english, then they dubb it into icelandic. The only difference between the US version and the UK version is Ziggy, Stingey and Pixel's voice. There is no british dubber for Stephanie!

  • lol.

  • How many people here are from the U.S?

    How many are from U.K?

  • You would have to click on each username above yours. I'm sure as hell not going to XD

  • Comment removed

  • XD i can't stop laughing. they sound so bad.

    the offkey singing just...No

they all sound alike, pretty much.

  • It's not just the accent they've changed - they changed 'candy' to 'sweets', which is good because nobody says candy over here.

  • Not really, no-one over here sounds like that.

  • i dunno why, maybe to let UK people listen to it in their accents.

  • Why do they have to make a dub for the UK.. its still in english.. ???

  • But I love the British accent and want to learn how to use it in speaking.

  • The British version sucks, sorry but as an American I say the American version is the best. :)

  • as a dutch guy i say the american version is better to, then again i just despise the british accent alltogether

  • Dutch are taught American English, not British English anyway. Like most Europeans, when they speak English they sound American.

  • yeah i know, i like it better as long as it's not spoken with an american accent

  • I keep waiting for lil john to bust in.

  • u ever seen sportacus as a kid??

  • yh on one of the episodes when he turned into a kid

  • The puppets are so much more obviously women in this one.

  • stefs voce is the americans lol

  • I don't like the British version... "I pile on all the sweeeets" just doesn't fit... :(

  • Yeah, and he sings out of tune! *facepalm*

  • does anyone know the names of any of the actors in the English dub?

  • I can hear the "nigga bake" more clearly

  • Comment removed

  • it's a piece of cake to bake a prity cake

  • I don't get why they changed the accents xP

  • I don't like what you yanks did to Pepa Pig >:(

  • rofl i know wat umean lol

  • I don't like what Pepa Pig did to the yanks.

  • WTB french version next

    <3

  • the EEUU is the best!

  • The reason we dub the show is that we dont want our children Americanised. Not like its a bad thing, but we're two different cultures with two different ways of saying things. The way we see it is, 'Do it right or don't do it at all'. The reason the human characters are not dubbed is to do with the fact that its impossible to sync the voices correctly, while on a puppet its much easier because they are only simple mouth movements anyway. Besides, Lazytown wouldnt be the same without Julis voice.

  • I believe these voices are actually the original production -- Sportacus and Robbie are Icelandic, Stephanie is American, but the puppeteers and voicing artists are all either Icelandic or British. It is the American version which dubs the puppets over with sickly cute American kid voices. Yeuch. Stingy's voice is much more funny in the original British, and Ziggy sounds earnest and enthusiastic rather than bratty and hyper.

  • OMG i totally agree I was watching the other ones thinking um those aren't their voice
