Last month, before they said anything about this in the news, I caught salmonella from a new jar of Skippy's Peanut Butter. It was rough and I am sure I would have died if I was older or had some problem with my immune system.
I think they should charge the owner of this Ga. peanut co. with murder for the 8 people that have died from this outbreak. Maybe then they will keep their product clean. Right now, they don't have anything to fear other than a recall which they decide to make or not.
It's always a shame when not only the peanut big wigs drop the ball but then on top of that the FDA screws up too. Who can you trust? Peanuts are relatively healthy foods though, add to that the tomatoes and all the other tainted farm products of the past, it's better just to eat like a pig. Now if they ever taint Doritos, then we're all screwed.
