Would you be able to just tie your anchor on your kayak and just drop it down?

yes.... i do it all the time... for sure in calm freshwater lakes etc.... anywhere i know i will not be detaching from anchor to fight a big fish or take a break from paddling against current etc...ty

for the anchor line use a large retractable dog leash, very easy to maintain and bring in. yak on
