ome on people. muscle can also bulk up a body. It doesn't mean anyone is fat. I think for a non-professional troupe they did very well. Yes many of us go to our local theater to see the nutcracker at x-mas, going to a professional ballet is too expensive. People need to appreciate the arts for what they are. beautiful stories with beautiful music!
On 2:32 the lifts were so soft & smooth. Just beautiful. Her hands are so expressive. Triple turns! He is very very good! Clean execution of the pdd. What an accomplishment for both. Wow! Great finish at the end! I love watching young kids doing their art so well, it is just so great to see. Bravo to both, I just love this! Such beautiful dancers, I love to see this over and over because of the gracefulness that I don't see in many dancers. Bravo!
FAT? They are beautiful, dancing to one of the most evocative pieces ever written. Please send me the addresses of anyone saying they're fat and I'll go and shout through their letterboxes.
@wga35o Personally, I think these people are absolutely beautiful. I'm with you, I get so tired of seeing the "fat" comments just because you can't see a persons ribs. I'm in America, and I guess our society has embraced the anorexic look. Personally, I like to see people "healthy" and would rather see a little extra weight than not enough.
For the people talking about how "fat" the dancers are, this is regional theater i.e. university theater. This is not the Kirov. If you come here expecting Kirov or Bolshoi, this is not the place. The dancers aren't anorexic or over extended. This is what most Americans get at their local theater. And guess what? They are happy to get it because there is very little support of the arts! The couple represent the "new" era of dancing: Asians, Hispanics and Black. They're great, so get used to it!
wow people are kinda crazy. they have the wrong complexion? why don't you just go ahead and say they don't have the right expression because they have funny eyes... racist much? wrong body type, they danced wonderfully, so their bodies can't be too "wrong."
your right they arent fat... but they both seem to have quite odd physiques for dancers... larger than normal. seems he struggled with a lift around 3:18... they are very good at some things though, and the pirouettes are well executed on both their parts!

Totally agree, technically good but cold.

of course they are not fat, technically they were excellent but I felt it was a cold performance.
