  • Great video series. Helped me put my black rain together. Putting that bolt catch pin in was almost impossible, took about half an hour lol. Can't wait to get it finished

  • @nightsniper101 Your welcome! I hate roll pins BTW. Do you have the Gen 1 or 2 lower?

  • @nictaylor00 You made it look easy, wish mine when in like that. Not sure, i didnt know there were 2 gen's of the lower. I know there are 2 uppers though,

  • @nightsniper101 Hmm, maybe that is what I was thinking of. My lower has some sharp edges on it. I was just wondering if there is a Gen 2 lower, how it compares to the Gen 1

  • @nictaylor00 Yeah the gen 1 upper has the sharp sheel deflector and the gen 2 has the rounded style. All the raised cuts on my lower are 90 degree angles with very slight rounded edges.

  • Very instructive. Thanks.

  • Let me know how that trigger works out for u.

  • @MyNameIsMrSwifty I'll post a followup video after I shoot it some more. It shot great over the weekend.

  • @nictaylor00

I tried my buddy Josh's CMC flat trigger, loved it. Tested it over and over, 0 creek, single stage, great reset.

Then I bought one, it had creep, returned it. Bought another, it had creep, returned it. Lost money on the shipping and was disappointed. I'm not sure, but I heard somewhere that some were adjusted for 0 creep, but I don't know. Any insight? I'm thinking either CMC if I can try one with 0 creep, or JP trigger.

  • @UTLonghornPistol Check with Chet at Dawson Precision. He has one in his rifle and was asking me how I liked it. From what you just described and Chet's inquiry to me, there may be some kind of quality issue???

  • Very informative video.

  • Man this is the best how to I've seen yet. Good job man and thanks. This will help a lot of people when they build theres.

  • Nice Work. I'm interested how you like that trigger once you run it a few times. Keep us posted. I'm a die hard mil-spec trigger guy with some spring tweaking, but I've always wanted to try one of those drop-in assemblies just never could bring myself to drop the cash for it.

  • @fatboyR6 I shot it over the weekend. I have a few things to say about it. Mainly ergonomics. It shoots like a BB gun! No issues and it ran all kinds of ammo. I'll work up a video on the things I found or rather my opinions. I may throw up a short video of my shooting it. Its recoil was amazing!
