  • @alvinorto yeah i know. Chuck is MASTERMIND!

  • iwas there

  • I envy the audience in the front row. They must have had a hell of a time watching the god of death metal demonstrating his unmatched skills within a few meters.

  • The world will never see another Chuck Schuldiner. The fact that Chuck was taken from us breaks my heart.

  • Damn, Steve's style is so unique.

  • I was there!!!!

  • My Favourite Death line up! Gene & Steve are just the bomb & the perfect addition to Chuck's compositions. Ta for the upload.

  • @aiwniavasileia hes singing but good point keep chuck in your heart for best regrets -MetalHeadElijah-

  • thank you god of metal for creating this song!

(and by god of metal, of course i mean the one and only CHUCK FUCKING SCHULDINER!!!!!)

  • ohooo like like like like like like :D :D :D :D

  • gene hoglan looks so fucking huge behind his drumset..this guy has to be at least 10 feet tall ;-)

  • What a line up, OMG. Digiorgio, Hoglan. Holy fuck!!

  • how did chuck die? im just gettin into this band, theyre great! =D

  • @sillystuff333

    tumor in the neck!

  • @die9go4 from headbanging?!?!?

  • It was actually Nuemonia (I think i spelt it right) that he caught after beating brain cancer. Nuemonia is a lung infection or something.

  • Brain tumor.

  • Pneumonia caused by chemioteraphy.

  • a type of brain cancer that invades the brain stem, and immediately underwent radiation therapy.

  • brain cancer

  • Chuck looks like he had been working out... or he is just well built caus he's awesome

  • i cant stand when bands play a song live, and its faster live than the original track. drives me nuts. morbid angel does that alot.

  • constant headbanging eventually fucks your neck up,anyway chuck made music for us to headbang to and thats what counts the most, playing and singing at the same time is very hard. rip chuck awesome shit

  • @gary0d1 your neck gets used to it

  • best lineup \m/ R.I.P. chuck..

  • this is my favorite death lineup

  • yeah and morbid angel is NOT mentioned in the vid at all. fucking people need to stop comparing bands just listen to chucks beautiful riffs............

  • this is a death vid. how the fuck did morbid angel get involved?

  • Both are pioneers in the death metal genre, both hail from Florida, and both of their fan-bases seem to overlap. It's really no surprise.

  • Aguante Death!y Aguante Andrés que me regalo una remera de la banda, una joyita!Un abrazo pa!Y un Aguante al Metalll!!!Mientrás más sucio y extremo:Mejor!

  • Long life to Chuck !!!! RIP 1967 - 2001 ...

  • Death and Morbid Angel are both the shit but i'd have to say that no other DEATH METAL band can beat Death. Chuck was just one of a kind.

  • There is Bolt Thrower.

  • Death is better.

  • @morbidgod Thats soo fucking true dude i love all old-school bands but if you compare them to death dont do that ! because they will be shit then but yeah Death is the best death metal band and normal band that came to earth no one will be better

  • @morbidgod Athiest comes close though man. unquestionable Presence is a masterpiece of an album

  • @KillJoy353 Yeah they do but they have more of a technical/jazz sound to their band. Unquestionable Presence is a fucking awesome album, i still got it!

  • @morbidgod fuck yea man!

  • @KillJoy353

    And don't forget Cynic.

  • @morbidgod It's no contest any more - have you heard Morbid Angel's new album?

  • @Bassbait Yeah, it's HORRIBLE!!! Couldn't believe it, what shame...

  • what does he say the song is about?

  • The idea of dying with a bit of dignity?

  • these guys sounded awesome live

  • Se non erro alcuni anni fa su Metal shock, In una intervista ai forbidden, Craig Locicero disse che in Italia siamo fuori di testa..... Yeahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

  • oh wow, hes got HUGE biceps!

  • Comment removed

  • how does a guy commenting on a guys' biceps freak you out again?

  • chuck doesnt head bang because he always belived in playing perfectly for the crowd and never wanted his playing to be disrupted.

  • Or maybe guy just doesn't like headbanging?

  • or maybe you should believe what he says because he's correct :D Chuck was a CONSTANT perfectionist.

  • He was a perfectionist but he is drawing conclusions on his own, that's not a fact... And I'm not saying that that's not the reason, I'm just stating it doesn't have to be. You throw presumption as real facts.

And on the other hand what's with Trey Azagthoth who constantly headbangs and has his playing on maximum skill?

  • still is death more complicated than morbid angel i think and there are much more reasons for that...

  • Talent :P Trey is unreal. And you are correct presumptions are not facts, but evidence and deduction of logic * imho * can draw out what I stated. Still, you are correct :D And why can't we all agree that Chuck rules?

  • morbid angel and death songs are both complicated to play...period....

  • thats a good comment xD

you cant sing and headbang at the same time stupid fuck .:P

    or can you??

  • You can, but it is INCREDIBLY complicated and usually requires one of those goofy ass headset mics. And yes, Morbid Angel and Death songs are hard to play nooo doubt.

  • only thing thats hard for me to play by those bands are usually the solos, but for me nile is alot harder to play than either bands

  • Well, Nile is what most people would call " other level " right up there with bands like origin.

  • true, i still see death as one of my favorite bands, they were in a way just as unique as nile. their own sound

  • Gracias chuck, desde Argentina rezo por vos, estas presente en el alma del metal

  • too bad 'cause his songs are absolutely for headbangers.

  • why chuck didn't headbang in live shows?

  • he was busy :P playing on guitar :D

  • Check out Live in 1988

  • probably cuz he sings and plays lead

  • so what? there are so many lead guitarists who sing and headbang just like petrozza:D

  • actually he does headbang at alot of their earlier shows

  • ok man.anyway i'm gonna check it

  • he did when he was younger but he just like to sit still and shred plus headbanging alot can make u mess up

  • yeah.especially when you play such high technical death metal!!!

  • @aiwniavasileia he didn't have to, he was Chuck Schuldiner.

  • @aiwniavasileia I think I have a good clue of why. I can't headbang while playing guitar, because I am very disoriented, so whenever I try, I get really dizzy and almost fall over. I think he just wasn't co-ordinated enough to pull off headbanging. Combine that with the constant amount of guitar playing and vocals he has to do. He doesn't have time for headbangs. If you want a headbanging front man, look at Warbringer, but Death isn't a place you will find it.

  • @Bassbait you're right i guess, just like other people who wrote me. Anyway Death is the ultimate band, i really enjoy their music!!! All hail Death and the mastermind behind chuck!!! R.I.P :D

  • @Bassbait

There are many other frontmen who drink, do drugs, and headbang at the same time. Dave Mustaine for instance.

  • @FeastedUpon Great, because drinking and drugs are good! But seriously, is there really a purpose behind drinking and drugs? I think that music is for the love of music, and if you love music, you don't need to be drunk or high in order to appreciate it. I don't know about what Chuck did, but I prefer music over beer any day.

  • @FeastedUpon yes,but dave mustaine is not singing.hahahahaha.

  • @aiwniavasileia maybe too much concentration, i mean, he plays and sings at the same time very difficult songs

  • @skorpionrazor not very difficult man ^^

  • @aiwniavasileia maybe his neck hurt

  • @feckineejit naa, i don't think so... i agree with skorpionrazor's excuse 'bout that.

  • @aiwniavasileia Maybe because he didn't want to?

  • @aiwniavasileia He let his music do the BANGIN !

  • @KEVIND215 yeeeaaah, that's for sure! D E A T H the only band!!!

  • @aiwniavasileia I would wager he just didn't like to do it. Anyone who's headbanged for a couple of hours can attest to how much your neck hurts afterwards. You can often get nasty headaches from it too. While it's a way of getting into the music and looks really cool on stage, I don't think it's a very healthy thing to do night after night while on tour.

With that said, I do wish Chuck had headbanged. :)

  • @vio2112 yes i wish that too! but seriously, you think that chuck would have a mind bout neck hurting or headaches??(sorry for my english) he was a the mastermind of the whole extreme metal sound!!! zombieeeee rituaaaaaaaaaaaaal!!!

  • @vio2112 Furthermore it's not all that easy to headbang while you got a guitar around your neck.

  • @aiwniavasileia

Maybe because it's about music, not the headbanging?

  • @aiwniavasileia you try playing this , while singing lyrics and headbanging all at once... its not as easy as you might think lol takes practice!

  • @Hezus3Christo hahaha, i never thought that's easy (that goes for every death song) i just made a question 1 year ago on this vid. and till now people say the same thing to me on different ways...

  • @aiwniavasileia ya dude he did in the early days back in the 80's but death's music became so much more complex and with him singing and all, theres just no way he can play those amazing riffs and sick and headbang

  • @aiwniavasileia For alot of reasons. He would rather concentrate on sounding good than on headbanging. He was above all the macho tough guy headbang and mosh shit. When it comes down to it, mosh pits and headbanging are fun, but listening to awesome heavy music wins everytime.

  • @CoReYcRaCkDoWn WELL SAID! :)

  • get a life

  • Best Band Ever

  • and best genious ever

  • Its weird hearing Chuck talk because he has a deep singing voice. For a litte guy he has a big voice! R.I.P. Chuck Shuldiner!

  • How did he die?

  • He died of cancer on his brain stem, but its also believed that the medicine he was given gave him pneumoina which made him even sicker.

  • Oh Ok. Thank you.

  • Just glad I could help.

  • chuck was so jacked! id like to lick those guns.

  • This live is in Italy....I was born the same year they did this live, 93!

I just love them.....best band of all time. RIP Chuck, brother...

  • i was born right after cliff burton died, in '86

    MEGADETH!

  • R.I.P. Chuck

  • craig locicero from Forbidden¿?

  • Fucken Gene Hoglan

  • Steve is fucking wiiild.

  • :45 LOL

  • Classic!!!

  • FANTASTIC !!!!!!!!

  • Chuck is the Godfather of Melodic Death Metal

  • Death Metal!!

  • nahhhh, he has some melodies, like at the end of everything is nothing.

  • i think this is just plain old death metal..not really thaaaat much melody to call it melodic death metal

  • Death is plain old death metal. Death invented death metal along with possesed

  • it nothing is everything u fucking dumbass

  • R.I.P Chuck we love you

  • how chuck can play those riffs and vocals at the same time is beyond me

  • F*cking GREAT.I thank the guy who filmed this (we didn't all have mobile phones and digital photocameras in '93,remember?).This clip is special to me.

    Chuck at his best!

  • there weren't even mobile phones in 1993, not to mention digital cameras. they still had the good ol' analog cameras back then.

  • and those cameras are way better than the normal digital camera for a concert

  • Gene Hoglan: Man or Machine?

  • awesome. human is my favorite death album

  • exelente

  • This is a pretty sick lineup. Steve from SADUS. Craig from FORBIDDEN and Gene from Dark Angel. Together playing death metal with Chuck himself:P

  • yes. A massive Nuclear BOmb of metal power...

  • Gene 'the Machine' Hoglan LOL

  • "you are very angry at life and just want to destroy and kill everything that moves."

    probably

  • hey *&%@#*!!!sfumato in case u dont know thing i dare to guess...For one to judge one must look into itself and compare what your going to judge to oneself, so if you say that about what you dont know, you better get to know yourself cause every adjective you name is what you think of yourself in the position of the compared in other words your talking about you. Chuck Shuldinner was and is one of the best muscicians ever alive. So next time keep your empty words to yourself instead

  • "So next time keep your empty words to yourself instead"

Nice Reference to a great song.

    Cheers! RIP Chuck

  • vorrei essere nato prima

  • prgasmo

  • fuck you man its a live video from a shity camera the sounds not ganna be that good listen to the studio then judge it and regardless of what kind of music you like respect the people who are above you ya fuckin asshole

  • yea man listen to there studio shit, these guys are responsible for some of the new shit goin on these days, show some respect

  • dud it's just a shitty camera, listen to one of their albums and say that you douschebag.

  • wow sfumato and you are supposed to be 33 years old ? while reading your comment and your excellent argumentation I thought only a stupid little arrogant emo cock sucker could think in such a way but actually no... what a surprise .. I meet more and more stupid people on this site every day.. you're not even open minded you're just some random insignificant idiot who thinks highly of himself

  • go put the trash can up your ass and fuck off

  • controlling their life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wà..T.T

  • Suicide MACHIIINE

  • gooooooooooood song made by gods

  • I second that.

  • Coolest harmony line ever

  • Best death metal band EVER!

    Human,symbolic,sound of perseverance...wow!

    Chuck was a pure genius!

  • awesome song!

my favorite album is the sound of perseverance xD

  • FUCK!! loading 1:57+!! the killer riff part!!

  • Whoah!!! You are witnessing 3 of the best underground musicians of all time. Gene Hoglan, Steve DiGiorgio and Chuck Schuldiner!

  • All three are great musicians, of course...but why not mention Craig Locicero? Don't you know Forbidden???

  • this is death not forbidden

  • I know damn well who this is...and I'm not sure you do. Don't you know Death always had a change of line-up of musicians from other bands with Chuck Schuldiner as the mastermind behind it? This video in particular had Gene(Dark Angel, SYL), Steve(Sadus), and Craig(Forbidden).

  • i agree, Craig should be mentioned as well if you really appriciated the line up

  • tell em like it is man..craig rocks..seen em @ slims few weeks ago.they still rock..death angel @ the regency oct 2oth..

  • The only thing bringing such idiocy into this comment wall shiz is the fact that the band's name is Death. People who don't know anything about them are doubtlessly gonna make stupid comments without paying any attention to the actual musicianship, or even the lyrical content underlying what people would assume to be stereotypical bullshit death metal lyrics.

One of the best bands out there...by far

  • well if you took the time to read my post carefully you'll see that im talking about individual thought patterns not human.

  • The best song of Death!!

  • all cds of death are awesome thanks chuck

  • Every thing Chuck touched RULED ! Spiritual Healing, Leprosy, and yes even Scream Bloody Gore all ruled.

  • Wat about Human

  • i was talking about what someguitarist94 said but like i said EVERYTHING CHUCK TOUCHED RULED !

  • Which album is better Spiritual Healing or Human. Iv herd the human album which fucking rules !! but i haven`t herd Spiritual Healing

  • Human is death's best selling album so I guess the majority think it is their best album.I prefer Human but I also realy like spiritual healing. There is not one weak Death album. Hear them all..

  • Human

  • 'Human' was probably the worst Death album. That being said it was still better than some bands' best albums. To me, this is one of the few standout tracks on it along with "Lack of Comprehension" and "Flattening of Emotions". They really hit their stride again on 'Patterns'.

  • human is my favorite

i love all the death cds but my least favorite is ind. thought patterns

i still like it though lol

    \m/

  • wow wow why???

ind thought patterns is the best...fucking ace musicians playing on it..steve digiorgio's fretless bass playing is killer, and la roques solos are kick ass, gene hoglans drums are awsome, and chuck is great on that album..the riffs were technical, melodic, and brutal....whats not to like about that album.???

  • When talking about Death, you can't fucking say good or bad album. All of their albums are top quality.

  • I feel the same as far as comparing them to other bands, but to me after "Spiritual Healing" "Human" was a letdown. Still a decent album, just not what I was expecting.
