Getting an omega 8600 soon, can't wait to start juicing! You could add a sliver of jalapeno for spicy V8. Great videos John keep up the good work! :)
I would like to make my own V8-type juice but want to consume the ENTIRE fruits and veggies, including the skin. I was disappointed that you discarded the skin ("pulp"). What would be a good blender to buy which would truly pulverize and liquify the whole fruits and vegetables?
I hope all those are wached before juicing them. I even wash cans, tins, cardboard juice when i buy them from supermarket before putting them in the friedge at home.
It depends on your needs and your budget. The Elite does yield more juice. It also costs more. The Elite is also harder to clean, and takes longer to clean, , and may take longer to juice, and take more strength to operate. Every juicer has its pros and cons and my job is to share the pros and cons of each unit so people can make the best decision on what will work best for their needs.
Ask john if omega has repaired the problem with the strainer breaking. My friend has a vert, and he went through about 4 strainers all ready. Happy Juicing!!
Yes, they now have the VRT 330HD and VRT 350HD that have the 8x stronger screen. I personally like the Omega 8004 or 8006 for juicing mostly leafy greens.
I have the 350 and was worried about the celery jamming up in my juicer's pulp ejector as it tends to stay off to the one side.
But after seeing this I'm not too worried. :)
Still, I want to ask is it normal for the celery to do this and is it hard on the juicer's motor?
Thank you!

Its very imporant when juicing celery in the vrt to cut it up into 1/4" pieces for best results. see

See:

for the difference between blending and juicing. For a good blender, I recommend the Vitamix TurboBlend VS at this point, as shown at

V8 is marketed as a health drink. It has 620mg of sodium per cup. That's over 25% of the daily recommendation.

I am one step close to getting the vert juicer.
Just sold my Omega 1000. I have one other juicer to sell.
Have no idea what a V 8 tastes like. Thanks for sharing

So John, 9 months later, did Omega VRT fix the strainer problem?
Also, what 2 juicers would you recoend for the lowest price for juicing green leafy vegetables (with some fruits apples, pears, even carrots).
